Action Plumbing and Rooter

I am ONLY giving it two stars because the ladies in the office are nice and Steve Dodd the owner is a nice guy. Steve came out to our house and said it was our thermal coupler but it needs to be ordered. It was due to be installed the next day. The following day, I received a call from a tech named Loren and he was rude! He proceeded to tell me they have the thermal coupler but I also need a new valve. That new valve would need to be ordered. I questioned that as anyone would because there was no mention of that by the owner. He did not appreciate me questioning him. One, he is a man and one that does not like to be questioned and two, I am a female so I emasculated him by questioning him. He also thought as a female I would just take his word and not be inquisitive. Wrong! I am positive I am not the only one to question a plumber. One should ask questions. He said he did not like "my attitude". I explained I did not have one and that I am just frustrated. So apparently Loren cannot handle someone being frustrated either. I am positive that I am not the only customer to be frustrated. You going to tell me, he has never dealt with frustrated customers when their toilet is flooding their bathroom or their sink won't work? Yea, right. So he said I need to find another plumber because he did not like my attitude. He kept at me trying to goat me into arguing with him but I refuse to take the bait. I just simply hung up. This guy is rude beyond rude! He has no backbone and clearly has a problem with females asking questions. Apparently we are supposed to be weak and do what he says. No, do not think so. Went with another company and wouldn't you know it, they were professional, answered my questions, and guess what, didn't need a new valve. I just needed the thermal coupler. Just as the owner, Steve Dodd determined. Too bad he has Loren working for him. We used this company multiple times in the past and really liked them but now that they have been sold it definitely has changed and not for the better.

They did some work on the place i rent yesterday, the plumber who did the job was incredibly professional and did great work, cleaned up after himself, and rolled my hose back up, then walked me through the repairs assuring i was happy with the work performed. He rerouted a washer drain off line and fixed a cracked pipe in the back yard. Very satisfied with the work and will be returning for any future needs! That plumber is an excellent representation of professionalism and quality work. Great asset to the company.

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. The office staff was on point with a friendly disposition also proactive instead of reactive when it came to scheduling my drain clean out and 2 toilet installs. The technician was very knowledgeable, efficient and a pleasure to work with. Best part was I didn't feel like I was getting gouged. The service vs cost was very fair. Good job guys -

They used to be really good but they soldout to another company. I have gone to them for years and they were really good, not so much anymore. The techs dont do good work, the sink leaks after they "fixed it" problems with things they worked on. Called them to come back talked to the owner, he said they would look into and "make it right" never heard back from them. Time to find a new plumber.

I’ve used this company a few times at two different residences and the work they did on site was decent. The actual person who came out was professional, on time and did very good work. That’s why I at least gave them two stars and not one. The reason for the low rating is the awful customer service on the phone. Each time I call the owner makes everything seem like it’s my fault with no positive feedback to resolve the problem. I didn’t do this, or I bought the wrong piece or whatever. Just terrible people skills. I won’t be using them again. If you want a company that is going to make you feel stupid for your plumbing choices and that belittles and argues with you on the phone choose this one. For my money I will be finding someone else who will be more positive and proactive in solving my plumbing problems. I’ll be going elsewhere in the future for sure.

I called Action Plumbing out to install a tub spout I was having problems with, They showed up fairly quick, presentable However when the plumber came in to perform the work he said it would be quick and easy and he when he finished the job he asked me if I could finish trimming the tub finishes,I responded by telling him "No, I am paying you $175 an hour, you can finish it since you've only been here 25 minutes, I want my money's worth" in which he stated I got my moneys worth by him fixing my spout. He then gave me my tag to sign which stated he modified the spout (tearing out the guts and jerry rigging it) and he was not responsible for it. The $4.00 parts he used were then marked up by 1,100%! I was not notified by him the parts had such an outrageous mark up, I expect a Good company to be u front with me about both parts and labor. 4 parts costing $44.00 is Absolutely Outrageous! And the plumbers attitude the whole time as if he's doing me a favor to charge me $219 for 25 minutes of work and not want to finish. He also left his foot prints in my brand new, never used bath tub. I will Never use Action Plumbing again.

We have used them several times with our over 100 year old home. We have been pleased with their work, they arrive during the assigned window of time, and the plumbers are friendly.
