We bought our new house and heard a noise that sounded like it came from the water heater. Our big-name HVAC/plumbing/etc company suggested that the expansion tank had failed and recommended replacing it. We knew the heater had just been installed earlier that year by the previous owner, so we were suspicious. We found a label for Serieux Plumbing on the water heater and called them. Alvin came out to take a look, and he ended up walking us through not only the water heater (confirming the pressure tank was fine), but took us on a tour of the house explaining every job they'd performed there for the prior owners. He taught us about water heater maintenance, how our landscaping was plumbed, and a bunch of other things we didn't know. He didn't even charge for this visit, since he didn't perform any repairs. Alvin is a fantastic guy and we'll always call him whenever we need a plumber. He's honest, trustworthy and willing to explain what he's doing and give you options.

Alvin is the best plumber I've ever dealt with. I called him several years ago for a water hammer situation involving my sprinkler system that was driving me nuts, one even the landscaping crew couldn't figure out. He worked the full day, nonstop, and finally came up with the solution-- it's worked well ever since. Also did first-rate work on my bathroom sinks and toilet. He never uses second-rate parts or tries to talk you into anything you don't need, and prices are very reasonable. I would recommend him for any plumbing problem you have, no matter the size. I used that to learn that I had a warranty on the leaking line and was sent the correct part, which saved me a lot of money. Alvinus was able to get my kitchen faucet working quickly and we had a pleasant conversation afterwards. I highly recommend him.
