Able Plumbing, Sewer & Drain

tl;dr - Able is amazing, and likely saved me over $80k in costs including avoiding moving out of my home temporarily. 100% calling them for all my needs going forward. I had a significant sewer backup throughout my house, and had called another plumber (not Able) first -- they told me I immediately had to stop using all water in the house, needed to move out for 2 weeks, and the replacement sewer line to the street would cost $70,000. This of course was a Friday night, and they said if I made the decision that day, they could have a crew starting the next day (or I'd have to wait until Monday and then schedule would be TBD) -- such a hard sell. They also refused to do any sort of snaking to get this sort of working through the weekend. My next step was to call Able, who had also done some emergency sewer work for my mom -- the owner spoke with me at 9pm Friday and told me the 1st company was known for these incredibly inflated prices & unnecessary work (and were being sewed as a result). He sent someone over at 9am Saturday who, with a bit of work, got the sewer unblocked! They then came back a week later to do a camera & chain snake clean-out, and said the sewer was in ok shape (for being >50 years old) and replacement was not at all necessary at this time. (And that $70k was RIDICULOUS for that work to start with.)

My house is nearly 100 years old and sits, in part, on a slab. I had an underground pipe break and had received multiple opinions from various plumbers with estimates between $7k and $30k to address. On a trusted referral, I called Able Underground and worked with Mark Patel and his team. They came out and did a thorough assessment, provided me with video and options for addressing with associated pros / cons and costs. After deciding on my path forward, they completed the work. The team was excellent: professional, good communicators and efficient. I find it rare these days to find a great company like this to work with on these types of jobs. Even the ladies who answer the phone and schedule were wonderful. Thanks to Mark and the Able team for helping me solve my issue!

I can't say enough positive things about the team at Able. Contacted them for a 2nd opinion on a sewer line backup that a different plumber couldn't resolve and quoted $25k for dig out and repair/replace of the line. Time was critical because a family member was returning home from a major surgical procedure in a few days and would need functioning plumbing during recovery. The owner of Able personally called after normal hours and scheduled his "go-to" tech to come out the next evening after already scheduled work that day. The technician was able to successfully clear the sewer line and clean the work area in under 2 hours and provided video of the line before/after the clean out. Wonderful communication, excellent service, and great follow-up!

I had an excellent experience with Able Septic. They were excellent at finding the pump out location and doing their job efficiently. They provided a report for a future buyer. I would definitely use them again. Regarding pricing: Any emergency plumbing/septic services will be expensive. This is a specialty service, requiring expensive equipment and know how. Of course it is going to be expensive to the consumer if there is a rush/emergency.

Good work. Clear communications. Reasonable price. That is my impression to Able Septic Tank Service. My toilet was not flushing properly. Something was interfering. A plumber recommended Able so I called them. Able gave me a 4-hour window for the next day. The fellow arrived, examined the problem, removed the toilet, and discovered myriad plant roots as the cause. He removed the roots, resealed the toilet, and now it works just fine. I thought the price was fair; it was exactly what the office lady quoted.

I needed my septic tank completely pumped out so I could start getting rid of it. I called a couple of different places and Able had the best price, but they charge extra if it takes them longer than half an hour. Well they came and did a fabulous job. Very helpful, very thorough--helped dig around the tank, etc. The only problem is it took them 1.5 hours, which ended up costing me quite a bit more than the original quote. For me 5 star service would mean that before working that extra time and going that extra mile they ask me. I might have said yes because they did do a good job, but I might have been okay after just 30 mins. So my advice to company is: ask the customer if they prefer the extra work/cleaning or if they prefer to rush and stay under 30 mins. my advice to customer: be clear you expect the job to be done in 30 mins, so they aren't extra helpful and then charge you for it.

This business charges abusively if your septic tank need immediate pump-up. This happened to me 3/10/2023 due to heavy rain that my septic was backup. Watch up!
