San Jose Drain and Main

I've never written a review before but Giovani did such a superb job that I had to! My house of horrors from the 1960s has seen more than it's fair share of plumbers coming through but hands down, San Jose Drain and Main is the real deal. My 13 year old son (who doesn't know his own strength) broke the shower handle. Unfortunately, it wasn't as simple as replacing the shower handle as the shower cartridge was stuck and the valve needed to be replaced. I contacted 7 plumbers before I reached out to Giovani and they all said the tile had to be broken in order to access the valve and replace it. Giovani said he wasn't sure if he had to break the tile but he would try to avoid it. He ran through his proposed solution with me and it made sense so I had Giovani come back another day after he bought the parts. He came on time as promised and took out the old cartridge and valve and welded the new valve into a very tight space (see picture) without having to break the tile! He gave me a quote at the beginning of the job and even though it took way longer than anticipated (he was here from 2 pm to 7:30 pm), he still stuck to his original quote. Now, that's what I call service and a job well done! Thank you Giovani and San Jose Drain and Main!!!

Our bathroom faucet was leaking. Giovani at San Jose Main and Drain was able to identify the cause of the leak and provided a solution based on the pictures we sent to him. We were happy with the quality work he did at a reasonable price. He patiently answered various questions we had and happily shared his thoughts on options with us. We used other plumbers before, Giovani and his team did stand out in all aspects. I strongly recommend Giovani and his team at San Jose Main and Drain if you are looking for reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable professional plumbers.

A colleague referred me to San Jose Drain and Main after some plumber I called could not unclog the main sewer line. Giovanni from San Jose Drain and Main responded to my call quickly and unclogged the main line from tree roots within 30 minutes. I also noticed water coming out from under the toilet, Giovanni explained that this is common when hot water from the shower backs up and damages the wax ring. He replaced the wax ring and re-applied caulking to the toilet's base. Giovanni went above and beyond and offered to replace the house clean out cap with a popper cap so if the main line gets clogged again, water won't back up through the bathtub or damage the toilet wax ring again. I am very happy with Giovanni's professionalism, patience, fair price, and conversation :)

March 2025 - Had a clogged drain. Giovani was the most friendliest plumber. It was a pretty tough clog, but he did it with a smile and his pricing is VERY fair. Thank you for fitting us into your busy schedule. My dad always remembers how great these guys are. ----- March 2023 - Had a clogged faucet drain. Did the multiple quotes on Yelp and decided to go with San Jose Drain and Main again. Showed up the next day right in the timeframe given. About 20 minutes later and $150, my faucet was running normally again. The guy gave me some pointers on how to maintain so it'll never be clogged too. Very appreciated! Side note : Before contacting, I spent a good 2 hours trying with prybars and various snaking tools on Amazon to do it myself. The drain was clogged with hardened material. When I was quoted $150, I was secretly in my mind thinking... "oh, you're gonna want more than that..." so I was shocked when he did it in a few minutes. :(

Giovani is AMAZING! Quick response timeline and get the work done in no time! I called 3 other plumbers before calling this one and all 3 couldn't resolved my kitchen sink clog issue and point the problem to something else (turned out to be completely irrelevant). Giovani showed up and within 5 minutes he unclog the stoppage and make my kitchen sink flaw smoothly! And his rate is the lowest among all 4!!! Giovanni was very professional and fixed an issue with our tub that our previous plumber could not figure out. He is extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what was wrong with the pipes for our tub. He also replaced a section of piping to ensure we would not have any leakage again. I would highly recommend Giovanni and am very grateful for his work!
