Hack's Plumbing & Drain
Review Summary
Hack's Plumbing & Drain receives generally positive reviews, with customers praising Estevan, Tanner, and Sean for their professionalism, swift service, and courteousness. They are often described as efficient, helpful, and reasonably priced. Some reviewers appreciate the quick scheduling and thorough explanations of issues and solutions. One customer recommends them for military personnel due to discounts. However, one negative review highlights a significantly higher price for a water heater replacement, potential inexperience, and poor customer service, including reusing an old thermal expansion tank and an unprofessional phone call experience.

I am extremely pleased with Estevan's accomplishments; the outcome was exceptional and truly professional. We previously encountered a negative experience with another company, John Padilla, which failed to provide an accurate estimate and solution. In contrast, Hack’s Plumbing and Drain delivered outstanding service at a fair price. I will endorse this plumbing company to all military personnel due to their provision of military discounts

updated Oct2024: Estevan and Tanner did an awesome job completing work. As usual service was swift, professional, and courteous. Old review: Estevan attended the service call swiftly and professionally. He was extremely helpful and courteous while finding the problem and quick in following up with another company for remediation work. This is the second time I am using Hack’s Plumbing Services and I would definitely recommend them.

I was referred to Hack's Plumbing by a water restoration company and was desperate so I didn't really check them out. Well, now they've been back three times to help me with other plumbing maintenance, and every time they are totally on time, professional and reasonably priced. Another plumber had recommended we clean out a particular drain a long time ago, so while Hack's was here I had them do it. They said it wasn't that bad, even put a camera down to make sure. The other company had me so scared and pressured me to do it right then and there. I am glad I waited and was able to get another opinion. They have also been able to get me scheduled really quickly, even when it wasn't an emergency. This last time, their technician looked at a couple of things for me while he was here and gave me what I thought was very good advice, which was good peace of mind after our flooding problem that is what brought them out to begin with. Highly recommend.

Hack's did a great job. The plumber showed up on time, explained my plumbing issue and let me know the solution options. They took their time to do it right, which I appreciated. All at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Hack's!

With all the Hack's trucks on his website you'd think he is a large plumbing company. But I don't believe so. I had my doubts since he has very few reviews and was issued a license in 2024 due to expire in 2 months. Trinity Management company owned by Wes Besemer used Hack’s to replace a water heater at my rental. Because of Wes's background in construction management and real estate over more than 20yrs in the industry, he says he has built long standing relationships with maintenance companies and vendors. So I was super surprised to see that he sent a plumber with little to no experience. But many homeowners have changed out a water heater themselves or hired a handyman who will install for about $300 plus cost of water heater. Hacks price was. Significantly. Higher than 2 other plumbers I called. Trinity Management or Wes Besemer says on his company website and on his Linked In profile that because of their extensive long standing relationships with vendors they get discounts that are past on to customers (home owners ) not wanting to profit off anyone’s misfortune. It would be quite easy then to pass on discounts here and I’m sure they would have if they could have.. SO that makes Hack’s super super duper expensive. And with hardly any experience … reused an old thermal expansion tank! A plumbing license is not necessary to change out water heaters so I thought Hacks couldn't do too much damage. Judging from the pictures sent to us Hack's replaced the water heater as quoted. He Has a 1yr warranty, but the cost was higher than other quotes I got over the phone. Standard tank size, straps, and thermal expansion tank. Nothing complicated. But here in lies the inexperience. Supposedly he reused the thermal expansion tank since it was still good. However my Google search says these tanks are only good for 5-10yrs. SO if I am needing a new water heater then I’m also needing a new thermal expansion tank. Yes? I called his number on the quote after the work was supposedly done. He hung up on me after I said who I was. I called back and a person with female voice picked up. Said he couldn't come to the phone. He was now with the kids. That was very weird customer service and something that makes you go .. hmmmmm
