This was the second time I’ve contracted with Rick for plumbing work. The first was about a year ago to replace a broken backflow preventer on my sprinkler system. More recently, he replaced a broken garbage disposal in our kitchen. In both cases, the work was excellently done! If you want to hire a local plumber, Rick is your guy!

Rick responds to calls quickly, gets the job efficiently. I recommend him highly. Because he has earned our trust, we called him when we discovered our hot water tank was leaking on the day we were leaving for a road trip. We were able to leave. He kept in communication, sent pics and gave detailed reports completed the job and turned off all water and pilot light as requested.

Rick was prompt and easy to work with. I had an issue with my bathtub drain and Rick was quick to diagnose and fix the issue. It is definitely nice to not feel like a dollar sign when having work done - rates were fair and affordable and I wasn’t upsold anything. The work quality is solid and fixed our leak. It’s good to know that there’s a quality plumber close to home. Will definitely call again if I need service.

Rick was able to quote a good price over the phone, installed and got his own plumbing permit, and passed the inspection on the rough-in first try. After visiting, the other plumbers I called said they couldn't even give an estimate for my new kitchenette rough in without me getting a building permit first. This was a great experience, thanks again!

My hot water tank went out and Rick came out last minute and got my water tank to heat my water again. I very much appreciate the work they did. I was quoted by a different plumber to just replace my water tank but I decided to get a second opinion and found Rick, who actually took the time and found the problem, fixed my tank and saved me from paying for a new one. It's hard to find honest and hardworking laborers. If I have problems in the future, Rick is now my go-to plumber!

I can’t recommend Rick of Excellent Plumbing, Heating, and Mechanical enough! We experienced a sudden problem with the diverter in our shower (water shooting out in a stream, parallel to the tub) and Rick responded to my call very quickly. The Delta diverter was quite old, possibly from the 70s, and Rick worked with me to get the proper replacement installed within 24 hours. Not only did he do a great job, but he went the extra mile by discussing options with me via text and phone. He offered to search for the right replacement for me at different stores around town and was steadfast in his efforts to find ways to save me money and track down the right trim for my bathroom. He was also accommodating when I asked him to also replace our shower head with something more efficient. He and his partner, Andrew, were on time and patient with my questions. I’ve had several negative experiences this year with other contractors, but I feel very confident calling Rick back to work on future plumbing problems. He is a Master Plumber and was very efficient in handling the repair. I think the pricing was quite fair as well. 5 stars!
