Shawn and Sons Plumbing

Here is the story with these two gentleman, I walk outside my home Sunday 9:00PM to shut off the garden hose, and it broke, my neighbor that happens to be friends of one of the gentleman at Shawn and Sons called him, they requested a picture and it was send 9:30pm shut off the main water pipe into my home no water running inside my property at all, Shawn and Sons told my neighbor they will be there Monday by noon. They text me and told me that base on the picture it was going to cost me $495.00 I figure they were going to replace the entire pipe outside which is PVC and since I don't know nothing about this, I assumed it was ok, 10:30 am on Monday they show up and did fix it, only replace two valve and attached the line to the wall see before picture and after- These company they did show up earlier which I appreciate as I told them my parents 92/93 years old lives with me. They did a good job I think. they show knowledge, but very high in price. I should have investigated the cost and what they were going to do before they got started.

Shawn & Son's Plumbing re-plumbed my entire Townhouse in 2016 after polybutylene pipes ruptured in the wall and caused a major water leak that flooded the kitchen, laundry room and the water heater closet. The only way to prevent future water leaks in the rest of the house was to re-plumb the entire townhouse which they completed in a week. Their plumbing knowledge and workmanship were top notch in removing all the old pipes and replacing them with quality new ones. After all the work was completed we never had another water leak. Yesterday, my Parents needed a water heater and new valves. Once I contacted Shawn, he was there in an hour to give me a quote for the job. The same day his workers installed everything and completed the job within 2 hours. Shawn & Son's responds quickly and completes the job properly. If you need a plumber for a job big or small, call Shawn he will get it done right!

I needed to replace my water heater and didn't know what plumber to use so I called a few listed on the BBB website only to be told they'd charge anywhere from $79 to $150 just to see what has to be done!! Then I came across Shawn & Sons Plumbing and called and spoke to Shawn. I texted him some pictures but he came to the house anyway - no charge! He made suggestions, quoted me a price and said he can do the job the next day. The next morning, Shawn called me and told me that two of his guys would call when they were on their way, which they did. They did an awesome job, very polite, accommodating (had to move my dryer) and cleaned up, all for the exact price as quoted. I'm very pleased and definitely recommend them.

I had a lot of problems with the toilet in one of my bathrooms. I had heard a few times about shawn and sons plumbing so i decided to call them and have them come to see if they could help. They came to the house and evaluated the situation and resolved my problems in a very timely manor for an excellent price. It is very hard to find good and trustworthy work in this area so it’s pleasing to know that there is some out there.

The employees are great, professional and know what they are doing however the OWNER charges VERY HIGH prices compared to others. I recently bought a new condo that had everything original and was built in 1993/1994. I had used his company once before for a main water cutoff valve in another condo. I told him I wanted ALL the valves replaced. When he came over I was talking with a screen company about other work I needed done. Instead of taking me around and explaining what would be done or not done and how much it would cost all Shawn did was hand me his business card with a dollar amount written on it. I trusted him having used his services once before so I said do the work thinking all the valves were being replaced. He also sold me on a new water heater (which I later found out cost him under $350 although he charged me $1,200 to install). The night before they were coming to do the work I noticed a text to my phone from the owner (Shawn) sent listing items being done and noticed nothing for the washer. He texted back he will check the next day and let me know. Instead he told his workers to do it and charged me $650 for the new washing machine box and valves. I paid the full amount being a gentleman but complained to the workers and told them to relay it to the owner I was upset. I also found out later nothing under the kitchen sink was being replaced either. He said they were not leaking nor needed repair (which I thought otherwise being old) however when I had a new sink installed later the valve did leak and I had to pay someone else to fix). He sold me on 2 new faucets for my bathrooms at $250 each which he told me was discounted. After paying him I went online to his website and saw he was advertising them for $225. A week went by and no call from Shawn so I called him. He offered me $200 back but also wanted my email address so he could send me a link to do a Google review. I took his $200 but told him I would not write a review. I told him about the kitchen sink problem which he offered to come out and fix but I decided to have someone else do the work. I changed my mind and decided to write a review. In closing...the workers whom I have dealt with at both my condos were/are great and perform excellent work. The owner is a rip-off. Always get another estimate to compare.

Shawn hires the best and when his employees are too busy on the road with other jobs, he will go out of his way and fix your issue personally. I have experienced this first hand. I have used this business many times throughout the past seven years, I have never found their work to be substandard. Shawn builds his reputation one job at a time, and I would recommend his plumbing business to everyone. I saw one of the other reviews say something like, he is high priced. This is 2022 and regular gas is close to $5.00/gal. Just think how do you keep great plumbers on the job. How do you keep trucks moving and parts on the trucks? I am just a customer like you, but if you want a plumbing job done correctly, call Shawn and Sons.

Worst person to call for anything related to plumbing issues.I had him do work for me and he didn’t keep his word but he sure did take my $500 toilet that he couldn’t install so I got another one and he took it as payment when I already had paid for him to install the previous one which he didn’t . He is rude, disgusting and treat everyone like garbage. He thinks he is above everyone when he is not . I feel bad for his workers that are great people but he isn’t . I recommend y’all call another plumbing service. He loves taking money from elderly customers by ripping them off. Furthermore don’t use him at all .

I’ve used Shawn & Son on several occasions for leaks inside and outside our condo building with quick response no matter what time of day. The crew knows how to tackle the problem and resolve it in a timely matter! I never hesitate to call Shawn or recommend him to my residents if I hear there’s a leak!
