Top Rate Plumbing

We had two different plumbing companies tell us that we had to replace a new faucet. We puchased another faucet and was expecting it to be replaced. Jose from Top Rate showed up, assessed the problem and fixed the existing faucet. Jose was honest and highly skilled and dependable. This will be our go to plumbing company from now on and I highly recommend others to do the same.

I had an emergency at my duplex with both units toilets backing up and coming up in the shower. I called Top Rated and they had Jose come out within an hour and half of me calling on a Saturday evening. I was very impressed with their customer service and quick response. Jose was awesome, he gave me a call and let me know the situation, discussed price and then fixed what was needed. Plumbing issues are never fun but I appreciate Top Rated and specifically Jose’s professionalism and ability to help me in such a short notice.

Davis was a rockstar! He came in patiently listened to me describe the problem the best I understood and explained to me the solution. He went about his business and fixed the issue quickly and with a smile. I would gladly have him back I felt well taken care of.

I don't ever leave negative reviews but I have been looking at a disaster zone for the last 2 weeks due to Top Rate plumbing. On Feb 13, they dug up my patio to assess my sewage system. On Feb 14, I was told I needed a full mainline replacement and that permits were “being pulled.” I paid them a $4k deposit and Luis and his crew proceeded to tear up my entire yard to expose the sewage pipes. I later discovered they didn’t apply for the permit until Feb 18—four days after tearing my property apart—despite repeated assurances from their team that it was applied for. On Feb 25, I found out their permit expeditor wasn’t even registered with the city and had delayed the process for days. I had to escalate the issue to the mayor’s office myself just to get their expeditor certified and the permit finally pulled—something Top Rate should have done from the start. On Feb 26, Angela promised a crew of 5 that would work from 9 AM until 7 PM. Instead, a crew of 3 arrived at 10 AM. To be fair: the crew of 3 at my house are all polite hard working guys but can only do so much. When I called Angela to ask why the full crew wasn’t there, her response was “What do you think a larger crew is going to do?” If you say you're going to do something then do it. Top Rate is unnecessarily dragging this out, and I've lost my patience. Top Rate lacks integrity. My yard is torn up, my trees are dying, my back house is unusable, and I have NO functioning sewage repair. As a paying customer who did all the work on ensuring my permit was pulled -- the least they could do is show up and finish the job. These photos were all taken on February 14th and my yard has been sitting like this for 2 weeks now. And if they don't send the crew as promised I will be looking at another weekend+ of a garbage dump in my backyard that I should be enjoying with my friends and family. This didn't need to happen. They should have never started the job if they couldn't finish it in a timely manner. Top Rate needs to take accountability for their work and get the job done.

We started seeing a huge increase in our quarterly water bill and knew something was wrong. We have a 34-year-old home with original plumbing and expected the worst but prayed for the best. I searched Google and found this top-rated plumbing company and decided to contact them. I was able to secure an appointment the SAME day which was nice. Our primary contact was Luis Ortiz. He was amazing. Great demeanor, communicative, professional and informative. His team came out and performed a diagnostic test using listening devices & monitors to try to locate a leak somewhere in the house. They were very methodical, and it was determined the leak was underneath the slab of our house. It was verified when they removed my water heater, chipped down into the concrete and inspected the copper supply lines running under the slab. As you can see in the photo, there is water gushing back up through the slab this source point. This is a homeowner’s worst nightmare, but TRP provided a thorough plan which put us at ease. That was to locate & identify all cold-water supply points behind our walls, cut & cap those old lines then and then run new supply lines up above the attic crawl space down the walls to these supply points. Since they were already cutting water lines, we opted to add a new modern water heater which they added in the job quote, and it was reasonable considering the labor & materials required. The overall process did involve cutting multiple drywall openings in our walls at several locations, but they were able to tap into six (6) supply points that included 3 bathrooms, the kitchen area and the laundry room. Granted there were some inconveniences along the way and this job took multiple days, but they resolved them and completed the job effectively. This type of work is not something to look forward to, but they got it done properly and even offered to complete a hydro-jet cleaning service of the main drains to our septic tank at no charge. Their workers, including Javier who was the main plumber making repairs, were thorough, efficient and cleaned up after their work. Our home now has all new cold-water lines throughout and something we won’t have to worry about “maintenance wise” in the future. Thank you TRP!

Hardworking employees Javier the lead plumbing supervisor, Was extremely professional and led by example . The employees worked through a rain storm and completed the job, with no issues. The inspector was pleased and so was the wife .

Received a humongous water bill and called Top Rate Plumbing who came out within hours. Jose and Mike were amazing. They checked interior bathrooms, hose connections, etc as well as the outside meter which they found to be faulty. Their quick response, full explanations, professionalism, and reasonable rates deserve the highest possible rating. From this moment on, Top Rate is my go to for everything plumbing related. Thanks guys for a great experience!

This is Sharon Sommer posting this review. Top rate plumbing did an excellent job from beginning to the end taking out our broken water heater and installing a brand new one.. The workers, especially Jose, were courteous, proficient and neat. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure everything was working right before they left the job. We would recommend them to anyone who asked.
