Michael Myers was our technician. He was clear, friendly, and worked with us when we had little understanding of our plumbing issues. He was thorough in showing us each point of review, offered recommendations based on our needs, and was helpful for the small things that he could do for us that he counted as part of the service. He came in on Monday for review, was able to schedule a follow-up with us the next day, today, and completed all the work. His competence and work ethic were a fantastic experience. I appreciate all that he did.

Mario, our tech, was great. Efficient, timely, was able to explain what he was doing and found well. However, I was floored at what the company was going to charge for 3 pounds of coolant. Even with a 15% discount it would have been over $400. Then a leak detection service of over $200. This was such a shock that I sent Mario on his way and did not have either done that day. I researched the price or coolant on line and found it for licensed contractors at $23/lb. They wanted to charge over $135 per pound. Rip off. Even if the tech got paid $50 an hour for his work refilling the system, still an exorbitant mark up. Not happy. One more thought. Our AC unit is only 3 years old. A leak; not so sure.

I had to share our great service experience Frank Gay's tech Jesus Rodriguez. We were scheduled to have a replacement part installed in our furnace. Upon a more detailed analysis, he discovered that the part was not needed and saved us ALOT of money. Honesty and transparency like that is almost impossible to find with service companies. Frank Gay now has a customer for life with us. We have already scheduled another repair with them (which is a plumbing issue). Once again, our highest compliments go to Jesus Rodriguez and the Frank Gay company. Great job!

I had a leak on the water pressure valve outside of my condo complex and called around to various plumbers to check availability, Frank Gay’s company was able to send out a plumber sooner than the rest. The plumber Andre was very knowledgeable about his craft, comfortable to have visit my home, and patient with my myriad of questions. Although the price for the services was a bit steep, the customer service provided by the plumber they sent out made it well worth the cost. He had all the tools needed in his truck to do the work and a very fine job was done!

Mike was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. We had to have a faucet replaced and he did an excellent job. He also answered all our questions about services available for future projects on our list. Great choice and would recommend.

I hired Frank Gay to install a new AC unit in my condo, but the experience was disastrous. One of their employees stood on my water heater while attempting to weld the new unit, inadvertently triggering the sprinklers and flooding my apartment and the four units below. Although Frank Gay’s customer service promptly advised me not to file a claim, assuring me they would handle all repairs since they were insured, it has been nearly three months, and the work is still incomplete. The repair work completed was of very poor quality, and now Frank Gay is refusing to finish the necessary repairs or reimburse me for my expenses. I would strongly advise against using their services and regret ever trusting them with my repairs.

This is five stars for Micah Johnson. Four months ago a Frank Gay tech installed a new water shut off valve to my house. Within a few months, the pressure valve drain pipe was dripping a lot of water. Another tech came out and told me the pressure valve was fine, water pressure was fine, nothing he could do. I called Frank Gay back a week later for another tech to evaluate it. I am glad they sent me Micah Johnson. He recognized that the pressure valve was failing and replaced it free of charge, as per the one year warranty. And just like that—no more water dripping. Micah was very friendly, informative and professional.

I recently had a terrible experience with Frank Gay Plumbing regarding my water heater, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. I hired them expecting professional service, but the entire process was frustrating from start to finish. On Thursday, a technician came to assess the issue and discovered an electrical fire in the unit. Instead of offering a clear solution, he told me there was nothing he could do except replace the water heater for $3,000—an outrageous price, especially considering the heater was installed by Frank Gay just three years ago. To make matters worse, he told me I would need to contact the manufacturer myself, even though Frank Gay was the company that both sold and installed the unit. This lack of accountability is unacceptable. After the visit, I left several urgent messages with their office, but as of Monday afternoon, I have received no return calls. On top of that, a customer service representative scheduled a technician to come out on Saturday to replace the heater, but when that tech called me, he had no knowledge of the situation. He stated he needed to speak with a manager and promised to call me back—but, unsurprisingly, I never received a return call from him either. This experience has been incredibly frustrating. The lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability from Frank Gay Plumbing has left me with no resolution to my water heater issue after several days. As a customer who trusted them with this significant investment, I feel completely let down. I cannot recommend Frank Gay Plumbing and strongly urge others to consider other providers who value their customers and stand behind their work.
