Mc Lain Plumbing & Mechanical

I have used McLain before and they have done good work. Their plumbers are competent. However, I had an appointment for someone to come out to my house between 2:30 and 3pm. At 3:15 I called and asked if they were still coming. A plumber showed up to my house at 4pm and was there for 5 minutes. He used a snake to go through my bathtub and get hair deep from my drain. A few days later, I received an invoice for $145. $50 for using the snake (understandable) and $95 for an hour of labor (yikes). I felt the labor rate was extremely steep given that the plumber was a full hour late and only on my property for five minutes, so I called to ask them about it and share my thoughts. The person in the office I spoke to was very firm that that is their pricing and when I informed them that I would likely use another company next time the response I got was, "As long as you pay your bill, I couldn't care less if you use us again." I understand that they have to make money and that they have policies, but to get that response was incredibly unprofessional and that alone warranted this review.

These guys.... we had an issue with a toilet flow in a business I run. They showed up in a timely manner and quickly identified a valve that needed replacing. Took all of 10min. I got charged $95/hr plus parts, for them to drive 2 blocks and swap a small piece. They sent the invoice to a business email I don't have access to and my business owners have been out of town. McLain owner decided it was appropriate to call my personal number to lecture me on how I am a poor business manager and am not professional. Offered him another email to send the invoice to but he decided to continue his lecture instead. I hung up on him and he proceeded to text me about how I should be ashamed of myself and his services could have been free then sent pictures of the invoice. SO RUDE AND OVER PRICED

McLain Plumbing always shows up quickly and they professionally take care of the problem and don’t do more than is necessary. Been using them for about a year and that includes 3-4 different issues from installing new sinks/faucets to replacing toilet parts and snaking drains. Reasonable,professional and friendly service technicians.

Extremely professional and honest! Dawn at the office was easy to work with and Mark/Mike were straight up about my situation and easily could have started work that would have cost me a bundle, only to not be able to fix the issue, referring me to other companies (since they are not able to perform the work needed.) However I'll definitely call them again if needed and already told others.

November 6, 2015 McLane Plumbing came out to do some work in the bathroom. At that time I asked if they could flush the hot water pipe in the kitchen and I was told the only way to solve my problem was to tear out the walls and have new piping put in. November 18, 2015 McLane is out again different plumber this time and the pipe is flushed and water is running freely without tearing out the walls in 15 minutes. The killer was being charged a service charge a second time to fix what the first plumber could not fix when he was out the first time. Now I don't mind paying for a repair but a second service charge was over the top when the first plumber was there and just couldn't fix it. I asked for a call back from the owner at that time never got it and now a past due bill which I will pay and NEVER call McLane again. Still no call from the owner as requested. Guess after the previous commenter I as well should quit waiting for a call.

Highly recommend! Izzy and Alvin replaced our water line from the street to the home. They were the most polite and knowledgeable service people I have ever worked with. They were on time, friendly, and hard working. I could not have had more excellent service.

Great place to get plumbing. I had hair and issues with my tub, and sink. These guys were care free to come out and take care of my problems. Great customer service and respect by Krista. I would refer all plumbing needs to them. Thank you McLain plumbing.

I suggest you continue your search for a plumber and look past Mclain plumbing. I had been dealing with a Shawn Petersen(sp?) attempting to get a quote. Long story short instead of behaving like an adult and providing the reason for not giving a quote he simply allowed my calls and emails to go unanswered. When I contacted the main office and spoke with Krista she also failed to respond to my inquiry with either providing me someone else to give a quote or a reason for Shawn Petersen's unprofessional behavior. Lastly, I requested the owner provide a reason for this behavior. Ofcourse, it has gone unanswered. There's companies that deserve your business and those that don't. Mclain simply doesn't deserve your business Do not contact unless you want your time wasted! Complete nonprofessionals!
