M. Cary & Daughters Plumbing

I had my toilet replaced by James with M. Cary & Daughters Plumbing. On Tuesday, James came by to take a look at my leaky toilet and he recommended that I replace my worn out 25 year old toilet with a new toilet. I purchased a new toilet, had it delivered, and James returned on Friday for the installation. James was very informative, communicating with me about things I needed to know: problems with my sub-floor, internal workings in the tank, potential problems (and fixes) with the mechanisms, and how to operate the new shutoff valve. I've been a loyal customer with M. Cary for a decade because they've always been professional, helpful, and fun to work with.

I have used M Cary Plumbing for about 20 years, for projects large and small. They are reliable, provide great service, and research the issue and provide me with options. I highly recommend their professionalism and they provide excellent services and quality of work.

They may be the best plumbers in the world, but they need to get someone with customer service skills and who knows at least a little about plumbing answering the phone. I called to get an estimate for pipe replacement and was told there’d be a $60 dispatch fee but they’d deduct this from the cost of replacing the pipes today. SMH Extremely rude.

called to get a quote on installing a toilet. $345 PLUS $60 dispatch fee which is never refundable - its just an additional fee. i understand if youre coming to give a quote, but not if youre coming to actually do the work. that makes it $400. when i said the $60 is an issue, based on # of complaints in the reviews, the lady on the phone RUDELY pushed back and said it wasnt. i suggest you guys read your reviews.

I had some sediment water coming out of my hot water heater, the plumber arrived, took one look at it and said it needed replacing. Which took all of 2 minutes. They charged me 60$ for that. Didn’t offer any advice on how to fix it or trial and error with sediment. In addition, they quoted me 850$ to put in a water filter under the sink which is beyond ridiculous. This company is unreasonable and greedy.

M Cary sent Ian Carby out to do an estimate on work in my kitchen and bathroom. The main work required them to turn off the full water in my condo building which is 100 years old (gently). They had to install turn off valves (5), install a new toilet and flange, new sink, new faucet, remove garbage disposal and put in new supply lines, etc. This was a 3 visit process due to tile repairs, etc. They were on time and did this on budget. Ian is the plumber, nice guy, respectful, flexible and good at communications. Michele one of the owners is great too in helping me with scheduling and getting insurance docs, etc. Lastly, there was a need to make an adjust to the water temperature - no problem Ian came right back out and handled it quickly. They are not the least expensive but they stand behind their work and I appreciate the ability to do business with a local business. Try them and make sure you ask for Ian Carby - he's the best!

James is super smart, quick, and professional. Diagnosed and repaired the first sink, and then addressed another issue and installed broken stoppers in our sink (when every other company I've called has said we could find them ourselves and refused to help), and even took a quick look at our hot water heater to let us know what model it was. I love that they wore masks and booties unprompted. Also dispatchers are super pleasant and efficient. Best service in Atlanta.
