We needed work done in our bathroom. The toilet had been leaking at the base. RSM Plumbing came and removed toilet and the flooring was corroded. Mike and Sandor cut out section of floor board and reenforced the floor. Fixed the plumbing to the toilet and put in a new toilet and new flooring. Mike and Sandor did a great job, very professional work. We are very happy with the work they did. They also put in a new water heater- we now have peace of mind . After purchasing a new (older) home and before moving in we found no hot water. I found RSM PLUMBING online with lots of good reviews. It’s a local company owned by a firefighter who works on his days off from the fire department. I contacted by email and Micheal came to meet me and check the heater. He gave me several options. First was fixing the old heater to get it working. He couldn’t promise it would last after changing the element since it’s 16 years old. He recommended getting a new heater but left it up to me. That was my plan anyway. He came out a few days later and replaced it. His apprentice/son was with him. They did an excellent job removing the old heater, hauling the old one off, and also fixing a part on the furnace that had been installed wrong. As a fireman he knew this. I’m sorry it took me a month to post this review (I had saved as a draft). If I have any other plumbing needs, I will definitely contact TSM. They’re very knowledgeable and professional.

I would rate RSM Plumbing more than 5 stars if I could! My new home had Polybutylene piping, which was 15 years past its prime, and after a recent flood in another home, I needed a complete re-pipe to prevent future issues. Out of the five quotes I received, Michael and RSM Plumbing stood out for their re-piping expertise, professionalism, fair pricing, and availability. Their communication was exceptional. Michael was one of only two plumbing contractors who followed up on the quote, and he took the time to explain the process and offer helpful options, such as relocating shut-off valves. During the re-piping, Michael also discovered an active drain leak, which could have caused severe damage if left undetected. I highly recommend Michael and RSM Plumbing for any plumbing or re-piping needs.

Great job putting in our hot water heat pump. Mike was very responsive and was great to communicate with. They came out on time and did a very nice job of installing my unit. Great folks. I've worked with a lot of plumbers as a general contractor and I would put them at the top as being a great company to work with.

I really appreciate the positive and very quick response received from RSM Plumbing. Mike and son completed the job of installing my new water heater even though it wasn’t an emergency. I know in a real emergency Mike and son would be right there to help quickly. I would call RSM plumbing again for any plumbing need because I know I’m dealing with an honest and legitimate plumbing company that cares about their customers delivering a quality job at a fair price. Mike quoted me a bid and that’s exactly what I paid. I would recommend RSM plumbing to all my friends or anyone that needs a professional plumbing job completed. This business is part-time with the owner operating from his home with his son apprenticing. I had a walk-in shower temperature mixing valve that was failing and I couldn't get the handle set screw removed to inspect it. This rounded out the Allen head socket and I informed the owner about this when I scheduled. First the good. The owner scheduled me directly for a few days out, availability was good. He kept the appointment on time and communicated that he was on his way. He is competent, experienced, and licensed with the State of Idaho. He fixed the problem by replacing the mixing cartridge but had to destroy the handle to remove it because of the set screw damage. The finish quality is good. The bad: he is not totally transparent about his pricing. When scheduling, I asked what his hourly rate was and he refused to disclose that, telling me that he prefers to work on a unit price basis and gave me an estimate of $325 for the job with a $175 call-out fee minimum. When he arrived, he determined that he would have to drill out the set screw and buy a new shower kit (head, finish nipple, faring, valve handle, and valve faring plate. At that point I should have asked him what he was going to charge for the extra work. When he was done with the job, he paused, contemplating what he was going to charge me and ended up doubling the price. He did not detail the cost of materials or time on the invoice so there is no way of knowing if he marked materials up or whether he was covering time until his next job. So, if you want a competent plumber but one who may take advantage of your situation and charge a price with a comfortable profit for him at no risk, then he is your man. I was probably overcharged (on a competitive basis) but the job was only a couple of hours so it was limited in any case.

Mike and his son replaced two of our toilets as well as a shut-off valve, and did an excellent job! True professionalism, friendly, and very fair in their pricing. We will definitely be using their services again in the very near future for other projects!

I absolutely appreciated the time he took to talk to me over the phone when I called. He went over different scenarios that could be the problem so I could check those before forking out a bunch of money to have someone come fix it. That right there showed integrity and is priceless!! They have definitely earned my business!!
