Here’s a warmer, less formal version of your review: Captain Rooter Emergency Plumbers is such a great company! They’re super reliable and easy to work with. Oz was the plumber who helped us, and he was amazing! He showed up right on time, had all the parts we needed, and was so professional and friendly. He took the time to explain what was going on and what needed to be done, which I really appreciated. It’s clear he knows his stuff, and it made the whole experience stress-free. I can’t recommend Captain Rooter and Oz enough!

Joel and his team went above and beyond to make sure they helped us fix the gas leak. Joel is a man of his word and came through on his promise. Highly recommend them and will call again if we have any issues.

"they don't do drywall" ... They'll sure use a hammer though to get to the pipes. These are still exposed pipes in a closet I told them not to tap. If the bones are out, use these guys. If you're residential like me, give them a dremmel in lieu of their online coupons so they don't cost you a day in paint crew time.

We called for a free estimate, tech came quickly which was wonderful. Gave us a quote to which we agreed to. 30min later tech tells us that we have a hard block and is unable to do the job for the agreed price but but still has to collect half of the agreed quote. This place is a complete scam. If its an easy fit sure they maybe great but if its something different then quoted they are going to charge you either way a hefty price. I called to complain and ask why this wasn't explained before the tech even came out, I got a very condescending manager who asked me "so you think we should work for free?" That's not what I said I called to ask why your company isn't transparent with the customers. Bottom line the quote isn't free. You have to pay $185 for it or more depending on your quote, and its not a complete diagnostic. Be aware!! btw they have an F grade with the BBB. Please don't panic and make the same mistake I did and allow these frauds into your home.

I've used their services twice and both times have been smooth and easy. They are SUPER fast to respond via the Yelp interface and if you call them they will connect you with a technician within the hour. In both cases, we had someone out within either an hour or two for an assessment. The latest call was for a kitchen sink emergency and Gabriel was out within 2 hours, made the assessment super quick, explained the issue and solve very thoroughly, and was back the next morning to fix everything. He was done within an hour -- sooner than expected -- and was careful to clean up any debris from the job and left the space better than he found it. Highly recommend Captain Rooter and Gabriel!

After the Chicago/Cicero/Berwyn Great Flood of 2023, I called Captain Rooter and was able to have Andrew come out same day. He was able to get an emergency permit and the work was completed in a day. Communication was professional. I was kept informed about everything from start to finish and everything was explained to where it made sense. I highly recommend this company.

We had a problem with our sewage line and called these guys to come and fix it as they had hydro jet our line before. They arrived late and took a look at the problem. We had some issue finding the sewage cap as we didn’t know exactly where it was on the property. They told us to dig for it, it would be a $185 charge. Then, they proceeded to tell us that in order to hydro jet the line, they’d need to remove my toilet - a $435 job. I told them to keep digging, verbally agreeing to the additional $185. I stepped away for a few minutes to see if I could find documentation of where the sewage cap was, and they left. Packed up their stuff and drove away. We eventually found the cap and called them back, and they were able to fix the problem, but then told us of a potentially larger issue. Given their track record and similar experiences I’ve seen, I don’t trust them at all. Will never be using these guys again.

I can't say enough good things about Brandon at Captain Rooter! He went above and beyond to make sure my kitchen was back to perfect working order before he left. Professional, great communication, skilled at his trade and an all around great guy. It was a pleasure having him in my home. Special thank you to the owner Joel and the appointment person Roxane for being so accommodating with rescheduling and strict building rules.
