I am only leaving Google Reviews one star because they did unclog my drain....however.... If you don't want to read the details of my experience, then just RUN! RUN away from Roto-Rooter. For those of you who want to learn more, read on: On January 31st, I called Roto-Rooter at noon. The technician, Jon, didn't show up until 5:45p.m. to unclog the drain leading from my bathroom toilet. From the moment he came in, he complained about me keeping him up as he stated, "Past his bedtime" and that, "He couldn't wait to get home to have his gummies". Not only was he very unprofessional in his demeanor, he made a mess in my home inside and out. He discarded his black gloves and blue booties he had on the wheels of his machine around the driveway. To this day, I am still trying to clean the wax from the wax ring from the toilet off my new porcelain floor. But this isn't the worst of it. This was just the start of things to come. Did he unclog the drain? Yes, at a cost of $975. Original quote was for $950, but because he didn't know how to install the wax ring correctly, he charged me an additional $25 for six wax rings. Yes, you read that right. IN ADDITION, he didn't bolt down the toilet correctly, which led to severe water damage to my neighbor's condo below mine. As soon as the leak was discovered by my neighbor, I immediately called Precision Plumbing, who came out and fixed the leak and the improper installation of the toilet at a cost of $393.20. Precision Plumbing called in Chicago Water and Fire Restoration services to mitigate the water damage that was caused in my neighbor's downstairs bathroom to the tune of $725.00. CWF will start the remodeling process this week to the neighbor's bathroom for $1930. The negligence that Roto-Rooter will cost me in the end is $3048, just to have a toilet unclogged. For 28 days of calling Roto-Rooter to get this hopefully resolved became nothing more than a "cat and mouse game". I spoke with a Levy, a Patina, and a Travon all promising to have a General Manager get in touch with me. Nothing. I left a voicemail message for a Patti in customer service, who never returned my call. I emailed Mr. Swanson at their corporate headquarters in Ohio. No response. FINALLY, a general manager named RObert got in touch with me 28 days later only to tell me (are you ready for this)...."Oh well, too bad so sad". So, I start my response with this Google review. I will then continue with contacting the Better Business Bureau and the ABC I-Team and oh yes, fill out their survey at rotorooter.com/contact-us/customer-survey and small-claims court. I will see this out to the end and yes, I have plenty of documentation. UPDATE: As you can see, Roto-Rooter responded to my review. It took a week to hear from someone from their office. NO CALL, just an email stating that they talked to their technician and to call them should I have any questions. (What did they think I was trying to do for the past month? Seriously?) So I did call today only to be met with a menu system that routed you to various people that apparently are never available. All I got were 5 voicemails to leave a message. Like that was going to do any good. So to date: I have filed a complaint with the BBB, FTC and the Illinois Attorney General's Office.

Khaden has a wonderful personality. His appearance is very professional and had no issue answering every single question I had! He is the most patient and understanding person I've met and not to mention he aced solving my mainline back up. What a great stand up guy. 10 stars for this special young man.

I had a slow drip coming from the kitchen sink faucet, that I wanted to get taken care of before it became a larger issue. Roberto, from Roto-Rooter came out and examined the sink and faucet, and was able to identify and resolve the issue during that appointment. I have had Roberto out several times, with more and more time between calls, as each of the situations he has helped with never need to be taken care of again. As always, IO am very pleased with his service and politeness, and will keep Roto-Rooter as my first choice in plimbing repairs and maintenance. Many thanks.

Andrew Ishaya from Roto-Rooter plumbing came ASAP as our toilet overflowed and cannot be declog by a mere plunger. The stench was becoming unbearable. As expected, he is very professional, courteous, and respects the home by wearing shoes covers, observes cleanliness, never flinches from the reeking smell, and declogs whatever it was in no time. He even offered to clean the toilet bowl and the floor. Now, thatβs what you call quality service!!!

Our service technician, Khaden, showed up on time and was very professional. He explained thoroughly what the problem could be and the method he would employ to remedy the situation. Khaden was very helpful in working with me to dry-out my basement floor, as some water had come up during the rodding process. When ever I have a problem, I always call Roto-Rooter!
