They were able to get a plumber out to help with a water leak that was flooding the kitchen ceiling. The technician was very knowledgeable and solved the problem of a bad connection. The only negative was the "flat rate pricing". I felt that $375 for an hour of work was excessive. $300 for "copper pipe repair" when he merely snapped on a shark bite fitting plus $75 for "drywall work" which entailed cutting a small hole in the drywall.

Professional and quality work. I thought they were local to Greenfield because of the Greenfield phone number. The only problem I had with the service was that it was almost $350 to install a 18” long trap that took 10 minutes.

We have used Roby’s for years (and at three successive homes) – and have only positive experiences to report. The people they have answering their phones are actually knowledgeable about plumbing which is very helpful. We have never had to wait more than a day or two for any plumbing call – and less time as reasonable in an emergency. The rates are always extremely reasonable and their service men are personable and so knowledgeable. We referred them to friends on many occasions over the years – with all good reports back to us. We trust this company and frankly can’t imagine using anyone else.

The company was very responsive and fixed the problem. However, no estimate or even explanation of the problem was provided prior to the work being performed. The result was getting slapped with a $230 bill for something that was covered under warranty. When I called to office to discuss, a manager agreed this was not how they do business and would work with me. Never heard back from them after that.

A friendly plumber gave me an estimate on fixing a leak in my crawl space and moving my water cutoff above my floor. Everything was good until the $750 estimate. This estimate was way, way too high. How do I know? After I declined, I went to Lowes and spent $100 on supplies, then fixed it myself in 2 hours. It would have been much less for Roby, as I had to buy tools and 100ft of pipe, when I only needed 4. In other words, if the professional was as slow as I am, they were asking $350/hour. Plumbers need to figure out that with shark/gator bite connectors, amateurs can do a sufficient job easily. I would have preferred to pay a fair price to have a pro do the work, but I'm not interested in getting ripped off.

I have had nothing but great service from Roby's at VERY reasonable prices. It goes all the way to the 1980s. Back then we had a busted water pipe and the guy went into my attic and used a ladder to get down behind the wall and the fireplace and he fixed it. The easy way for him would have been to tear up the wall, but he didn't want me to have to pay to have the wall repaired. Recently, I had Roby's come out and install a roman tub faucet and a shower faucet. I believe the plumber's name was Rick and he was very efficient and everything works great. I would not hesitate to call Roby's again.

I've been using Roby's for 15 years at my 100-year-old home and have had nothing but positive experiences. Their estimates routinely come in under other plumbers and the work is always solid. Once they fix it, it stays fixed!
