Rainbow Plumbing & Heating

I’ve had an exceptional experience with Rainbow Plumbing. They were very accommodating when I emailed and called them to set up an appointment time that would work best with my night shift work schedule. I’ve had them out several times to fix a kitchen sink leak, replace an overly rusted and calcified toilet parts, and install a new faucet. Their labor time was quick and the plumbers were very knowledgeable and friendly. The labor costs in my opinion were very reasonable and competitive and they don’t charge a $50.00 “travel fee” (with or without an estimate) like one of their competitors, at least not that I know of. I’d use them again for more future projects.

I had Rainbow come out to fix a backed up shower and toilet. They fixed the problem that day, but within six days it was backed up again. Dave and Jonathan came out for the second time and it took just a few minutes to clear the line. They both mentioned that I might consider having the old copper replaced where it attached to the cast iron sewer line, since that was where it was always getting clogged up at. Five days later, yep, it was backed up again. Debbie had them come out first thing Monday morning and they knew right where the trouble was. I want to mention that I was only charged for their first visit. The last two times Rainbow came out there was no charge. At this point it was clear that the pipe needed to be replaced so I called and Debbie set it up for the next afternoon. I requested Dave and Jonathan do the work and they were done in a couple of hours. Both Dave and Jonathan were friendly, professional and courteous. They also answered any questions I had about the work they were doing, taking time to explain it to me. I actually understand more about plumbing now than I did before. I have recommended Rainbow to several friends of mine and I appreciate the great customer service I've always received from everyone there!!

We used to LOVE Rainbow Plumbing--but be warned. They've been bought out by a large company and their prices have almost tripled. Which is totally fine--except they don't warn you of that before they arrive. So if you're expecting to pay $89 for a service you had last year (as we did), they'll now charge $250. I wish I was making this up. The service guys are always great, they got the job done, but someone should have warned us before they arrived that their rates had increased substantially. ("Hey, I see we performed this service for you last year...I just want to let you know that our rates have increased since that time...Would you still like to pay the service charge to have us come give you a quote for the work?")

The water pipe going to my shower started leaking all the way into my basement. When i called the Lady that scheduled my appointment was very friendly and was able to make an appointment that was convenient for me. The guy that came out was also very nice and professional. Prices were great compared to other companies that i had contacted and he was in and out fairly quickly. I will definitely being using them for any plumbing needs I have in the future.

I've had three different plumbing companies come out over the years, but now the search had ended. Rainbow plumbing wins the competition! The technicians know their business, the prices are quite reasonable, and the job gets done correctly. On the most recent visit the plumber brought along an apprentice, and I was glad to see a young person going into a trade. I mention this as an example of why I like Rainbow, since although the apprentice did make a minor mistake, the senior plumber inspected his work and corrected it before leaving.

Bob Hamilton Plumbing quoted me $5,200 for work that Rainbow Plumbing & Heating performed for $697. The quality of Rainbow Plumbing & Heating's work is exceptional and the plumbers are very courteous. There's a reason they are one of the top ranked plumbers in the city on Angie's List!

I had to schedule a week out to get help from Rainbow plumbing (coming recommended to me from a neighbor) for my kitchen sink. I told Debbie I would be driving home 5 hours from out of town that day but would have someone home if I couldn't be here. I rushed home and got here before my appointment was scheduled. I missed a phone call from Debbie asking if she could send the plumber out and when I called back not 2 minutes later she said they could not come out today that they had given my spot to someone else. Since I worked the rest of the week, she said she would make a special case and have someone come out on Saturday. Between then, I found my brother-in-law was able to fix the issue. I attempted to call an hour prior to our Saturday appointment to notify them. David called me back saying he was about to head over to which I explained I no longer needed their services. I could tell david was irritated with me, however, they were the ones that cancelled and rescheduled with me in the first place and I did give them more notice than they gave me...

Very nice guys came on time and were fully knowledgeable on spotting our issues. However, the standard prices drawn from the new management, were more than twice those quoted by others. The guys explained how the new owners of the company had a much higher overhead. The guys get Five Stars, not their company.
