2M Plumbing and Piping
Review Summary
2M Plumbing and Piping receives mixed reviews. Positive feedback highlights their communicative, kind, and thorough service, with some customers experiencing quick problem resolution. However, negative reviews cite significant issues, including:
- Poor workmanship: Improper diagnosis leading to unnecessary digging, leaving the yard in disrepair (damaged lawn, flowerbeds, and concrete), and failing to address the initial problem.
- Lack of professionalism: Failure to clean up after themselves, throwing away a client's plant, and using Google for troubleshooting.
- Poor customer service: Defensive and dismissive behavior from Heather, and a refusal to return to a customer's home.
- Inefficient service: Unnecessary work and delays.

Moved to a house from out of state and almost immediately began having issues. Oh no! The team at 2M was great from the start - communicative, kind, and thorough. They ended up coming out for a 2-day job and even stayed until well after 6pm on the second day to make sure we wouldn't have to spend another night taking long trips to public restrooms or showering at family's. Heather was incredibly kind throughout every interaction we had. Thank you all so much! You made a stressful situation a little easier to handle.

I cannot express how incredibly disappointed I am with this company. Heather was so nice on the phone and I initially felt grateful they were coming to my rescue. Now, I just feel anger and disrespect. I've never seen a company completely destroy someone's property and just leave it that way. Shame on them. My shower downstairs was clogged and the entire house eventually started backing up. 2M came and I told the plumber the clog started in the shower. This man ran the snake down the toilet and the clean out in my laundry room for a total of 4 hours. I mentioned the shower more than once saying the clog started there and he refused to snake the shower. No big deal, he's the plumber not me. I figured he knew better. I was told they have to come back the next day and replace my plumbing line because it was severely clogged. They came the next day and dug a six foot hole in my backyard. Only to find the line was in the front yard. So they then, dug up the front. 4 hours on nothing. I asked again about the shower once they had me run water in every room except where the clog started. They refused and said it's fine and kept digging and filled the hole in. Ok they did that and dumped all the dirt and concrete on my lawn. No tarp or anything, just on the lawn. I was told by the worker they would put everything back as they found it in a week. Including my flowerbed, the wood around it and pour new concrete. None of that happened. I called Heather a week later and she told me "they don't replace flowerbeds" I told her I just paid $800 to have landscaping done on my yard and flowerbed. She said she'd send someone out that day or the next to see if they can pour the concrete sooner but, it would probably be a month before it is done. So they intend to just leave my yard torn up a whole month. No one ever came, still haven't. Before they left, after they'd been here 12 hours, they noticed I still had a clogged pipe in the bathroom where the shower I kept inquiring about was. It was the shower itself, still clogged. I was furious. I literally asked about this shower multiple times. Now guess what? They have to come back tomorrow. I was having surgery that day and really didn't want anyone there. They were supposed to come at 12. I woke up at 4 pm on medication and called asking where they were. He eventually came, ran the snake and the clog went down. Of course he insisted there was still another problem and they had to dig the yard up either way. I don't believe that. I really believe had he just checked the shower initially, the clogged pipe would've been resolved. Of course they would say different. A lot of unnecessary work was done no matter what they say because I was here and witnessed that. The day they dug up the yard (front and back) I had to ask them to clean up their mess. They literally left some white paint looking stuff spilled all over my concrete. There was dirt and mud all over my window and front door. They threw my plant away that they dug up. A perfectly good plant the landscaper planted a week before. Why would you throw that away!? I came out and asked for it and it was broken up in the trash. Plus, they absolutely ruined my lawn. They didn't just dump dirt on it. All kinds of concrete and rock is scattered all over. It's absolutely ruined and the landscaping guy said my grass will definitely die in patches. My driveway was full of rocks and dirt too. They were leaving it that way! I keep my yard manicured. You would think a company would want to satisfy the customer and leave every house in decent condition. I feel like because this house is owned by an out of town company, they didn't treat my yard with respect. I pay $2100 a month to live here and am responsible for my own yard. This is a nice neighborhood. I pay to keep my yard nice by a lawn service. Because my management company is out of town, they couldn't see how they were over billed. If I were paying, we'd have to go to court over all these hours and my yard. Pictures below

The gentleman they sent to my home was consulting google to troubleshoot my issue and even though I sent them all the information for my water heater 4 days prior to my appointment they did not verify that they had the correct parts. When I called the office to find out how long it would take to get the part and let them know how frustrated I was Heather got very defensive and ultimately stated they would not be coming back to my home. I’m frustrated that I will not have hot water for longer but I’m ok not continuing to do business with this company. I am tired of these trade businesses thinking they can treat people however they want because it’s a specialized trade. It might be inconvenient but I want people who are professional and care about their customers. I would not recommend this company. I was not given a diagnosis for what was wrong they only brought the part the gas company said was emitting carbon monoxide. That is why I I didn’t pay the deductible. During the call Heather wouldn’t give me the opportunity to say I would pay when they came back she just went straight to we’re not coming back. actually don’t have any issue with tradesmen this particular person clearly was out of his element if he is asking Google to diagnose the issue which I had already done my self. It’s these type of owners that feel like they can treat you poorly because they think they have all the control. Thankfully Louisville is pretty large and there are multiple options to choose from.
