Universal plumbing always gets the job done . Backed up sewer line . These two gentlemen took less than three minutes to get it flushed and running smoothly again. I recommend Universal Plumbing Jay and the other young man with him did great. And gave me some great tips moving forward to keep my lines clear.

Used them 2 times because home warranty. 1st time the gentleman was very helpful but had to order part for faucet. When it arrived 2nd gentleman came out was very confused and apparently installed part backwards. We were then out of town so never knew it was backwards until after a month later. When we called they said we had to pay another warranty fee to get them to come back fix what they did wrong. Next issue was bad hot water heater. They came out and said it needed replaced. When I called back telling them to schedule the job and asked for a bigger hotbwater heater it took 5 days before I got a response saying ok they could schedule. It was a full week before they could come out. So now over 2 weeks without hot water they show up at the end f my drive way and because it was raining they felt they would get stuck and we would need to reschedule and they would call by the end of the day to do so. I finally called them the next day to schedule and they said they could come the next week. When I said that was unacceptable they didn't care just said sorry it's the best we can do and they would try to get to me if weather cleared and they had a cancelation. Called the 2 days later to check because 48 hours with blue skies but they said they couldn't bump anyone else and my home was a long drive. They didn't mind bumping me. And even though I explained that driveway was not mud but rock they were afraid to drive in it. So finally over 3 weeks without hot water they showed up. The mawas very abrupt and rude. I told him he could park on the other side of the house to be closer but again he was afraid to get stuck. Driveway is rock and was dry. He was rude to my wife, to me and grumbled how it would get done because he was a professional. He said modifications had to be made so they charged me 215 dollars. Seemed a littlehigh for what he showed me but I paid it even though warranty company already pays them. It looks like everything was installed correctly but he was rude to the very end and the receipt I was given simply said water heater installed in other room paid by credit card. Nothing showing what extra parts I paid for or their cost so not exactly a receipt in my book. Overall not impressed with either the attitude or skill of 2 out of 3 techs. Not impressed with customer service. It seems based on reviews many others feel the same. At this point not sure I will renew warranty service if this is who they send.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with a plumber from Universal Plumbing Co in Shreveport. Home Depot recommended them. The plumber came to my house to do a job and displayed unprofessional behavior throughout the visit. He told me I needed to call a carpenter to replace the flooring in my attic, which was unexpected and inconvenient. When I informed him that the previous water heater had been replaced just a few months ago, he rudely called me a liar. This kind of disrespectful and unprofessional conduct is unacceptable. I expected a high standard of service and courteous behavior from a professional plumbing company, but my experience was quite the opposite. I would not recommend Universal Plumbing Co to anyone looking for reliable and respectful service.

This company was sent out by my home warranty company to repair a toilet leak. The short story is, it wasn't repaired. Because the water damage on the ceiling below from the leak had not yet been repaired (we were waiting for the contractor to get us in), we didn't realize the leak hadn't actually been fixed and had continued within the wall/ceiling. Now we have extensive water damage that will cost far more than a plumbing repair to fix. This is on top of the plumber they sent out clearly having issues (which is too much to type here, but when reported to the company, they didn't seem to care). I was telling another plumber (one we have hired to actually fix the problem, which is exact same issue they said they resolved) about "the worst plumbers in Shreveport", and he immediately guessed it was Universal. Unrelated to the current job, they also handle installation for Lowes' appliances. Even Lowes employees feel bad sending them to houses due to all the complaints. I guess the condition of their work trucks should've been the first clue - they are beat to death and had severely cracked windshield. When asked how it passed inspection, the plumber said, "the owner knows somebody." If you read their reviews and the company's responses, you will see nothing is ever their fault and they are rude in their responses (they are rude on the phone as well). Where there is smoke, there is fire. If so many customers complain and you say every time it's the customer, it may be time to engage in some self-reflection. So, all that to say, do not call these people to your home unless you want to risk having even more of a problem than when you started.

The Technician came out and put the Toliet in right. I did not have any problems.

They put me down as an emergency on my rent house. I would recommend them way before Gigio. I tried to pay them 3 times( giglio ) for a dishwasher installation. They would never take my payment having telling them I’m not calling to pay a forth time. 2 years later a collection company called. I paid as long as all the late fees etc were taken off. They were. I would universal plumbing as they are family owned since the forty’s. Any negative review are from bull——, home warranties. At least universal steps up when nobody else will. Think about it, 500 dollars for a home warranty? You can’t get a dishwasher for that. So what do you expect. They are doing it to give back basically.

Didnt fix anything with my hot water heater and then manged to break my faucet, then attempted to charge me for what they broke. Was referred by American Home Shield @AHS who attempted to charge me again for another service call. Don't use this company unless you have a lawyer in the family...

I have a home warranty the home warranty company sent out universal plumbing. They tried to charge me expedited fee. I called the home warranty company. The home warranty company agreed to pay the fee so I wouldn’t have to pay it when they get here. They only look in the and they say we have to come back. They don’t come back for three days when they come back they only fix one problem, and they say they have to order a faucet which is understandable, but I don’t expect the faucet to take three weeks to come in so the other problem that I had was a stoppage with my washing machine they put in the work order that they completed the order and that it was unclogged and it was not when I called into the office. All I get is attitude and for them to suggest that I pay out-of-pocket, although my insurance company already paid them, I would not recommend anyone to use this company this company is pure garbage , they try to charge you and they try to charge your insurance company And when I come to your home, they don’t care about your things and they damage and treat your home as if it’s a garbage can they leave trash all over my water hose was damaged from them trying to unstop a drain pipe I would not recommend this company to anyone
