Such a wonderful experience today! To start, it was so refreshing to call and speak to someone and not a voicemail. So efficient, and showed up shortly after I made the call. We had an emergency situation with water leaking through my kitchen ceiling that turned out to be a tough one to figure out. The team that worked on my home were nothing short of amazing. They were so thorough and kept me informed every step of the way. Thank you for all of the hard work. I will absolutely recommend to all my family and friends!

Nothing short of amazing! I’ve had ongoing boiler issues and after getting the run around with multiple other heating companies with either comically outlandish pricing/upselling or completely flaking out all together, Trethewey Bros. really came through in the clutch. The tech Andrew came in right on time, was extremely kind and professional, and knocked out a fairly involved blower motor replacement and general boiler service in literally under an hour. I could not be more impressed by my experience with Trethewey, and the pricing was great to boot. Five Stars.

After a gas leak was found by the crew doing street line work, I called Trethewey Brothers and got a very quick response. The plumbers were efficient and were very courteous in answering questions and giving clear explanations. The people at the office too were very helpful and polite. Everyone I dealt with seemed sincerely interested in making this process as pleasant and as cost-effective as possible.

Hot water heater replacement: I called five plumbers. T Bros was the only plumber to return my call. They scheduled for the next day and showed up when they said they would. Vinny was polite and well spoken. I am satisfied with the job. I would use them again.

We don’t like to give anyone a bad review, but there are reasons for this one. I gave two stars only because the plumber who came did excellent work. Despite supposedly 24/7 service, that is not what we got. We are in our eighties and our heat went out on a Saturday. We called about 3:45 and spoke to Bob Trethewey about the problem. Our next door neighbor, a highly competent contractor, told Mr. Trethewey the necessary furnace information and said he was pretty sure it was a blower motor failure, which it was. No plumber was sent to our house and we were told any work would have to wait until Monday. It was 45 degrees in our house. The cold was so bad that we spent Sunday night in a hotel as we were feeling ill from these unhealthy conditions. The plumber came on Monday morning, but he had been given the wrong sized part, or the wrong part, and we were told the work could not be done until Tuesday. As we had checked out of the hotel, we spent another sickening night in our house ( there are three of us, all elderly). And here’s the kicker. Trethewey charged us $190.00 for the Monday visit when the plumber came with the wrong part. The total bill then came to over $1800.00 There was no sense of urgency at all in dealing with our situation by a supposedly 24/7 company plus we received this very unfair charge for work not done. I called bc I had a 3rd floor bathroom tub leaking into my 2 nd floor bathroom, damaging my ceiling. I spoke w a live person, who sent a crew out within 2 hours. They quickly diagnosed and repaired the leak, cleaned up afterwards, and referred me to a plasterer to repair the ceiling damage. They also replaced a tub diverter that had been broken for years. 5 stars. Ryan and his assistant were professional in every manner.

Our several years old Burham steam boiler with an automatic water feeder stopped working, so we called Tbros. A technician came the same day, diagnosed the problem as excessive water in the boiler, drained the excess water, and left. The system started working again, and we were charged $190. Three weeks later, the same issue occurred. Another technician came out, found the boiler had too much water again, drained it, and left—again charging us for the visit. This year, the same problem happened yet again. I decided to handle it myself. After some research, I discovered the likely cause: a dirty low-water cutoff probe. The plumber should have addressed this underlying issue during the first visit. Instead, they charged me twice for what turned out to be a simple 10-minute fix. I had to drain and clean the low-water cutoff myself. Needless to say, I’m very dissatisfied with their service.

We've had TBros service our boiler for the last 5 years, and it purrs like a kitten. But more than that, their technicians are always professional AND personable. They always answer all my questions, tell me what they are doing and why. It's not just transactional, they actually share understanding about the equipment in your home. It feels like they are on my "home team".
