My connection with A & L Plumbing started with Paul’s visit to my home to discuss installing gas connections for two fireplaces (one new and one converted from wood-burning). From the prompt estimate to the completion of the job, everything exceeded my expectations. Their staff is outstanding. James, in particular, is a fantastic professional—always kind, thorough, and committed to getting the best outcome for the customer. The office team, including Amy and Tiffany, was equally impressive. They patiently answered all my questions, handled scheduling with ease, and coordinated multiple visits to address issues that weren’t even their fault. A & L Plumbing delivers exceptional service with a personal touch that’s rare to find these days. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services!

After working for a now sold family plumbing business for almost 20 years, my standards of what make a good plumbing company are quite high. A&L meets them all. A&L helped our business with an emergency. Cassandra scheduled our appointment and was very pleasant on the phone. Mike, who did the work, was great and prompt on his arrival time. Really appreciate the professionalism and quick response. Highly recommend the team at A&L.

I came home from work to find a burst pipe in my house after a particularly cold night. I called several places, but A&L was the only company that was able to send someone out that evening on short notice. Within a couple hours the initial work was done, heat restored to the rest of the house, and I had a quote for the rest of the follow-up work. They were able to fit me in the following Monday to complete the rest of the job. Both techs who came out were on time, friendly, knowledgeable, quick, and professional, and I particularly liked that when a tech is assigned they send you a pic of the person so you can recognize them when they arrive, as well as a map tracker to see their location and ETA. Nothing but good things to say, they really made a stressful event much easier.

I’ve had A&L take care of boiler and plumbing at my house. Super happy with their services. Their customer support is super responsive, they get work scheduled and done pretty fast. Last visit, Frank, came over, explained pretty well what was involved and cost, got issue addressed. Continue to count on A&L for whatever I need. Highly recommended.

They completely overcharged me for a toilet rebuild. I had a two other plumbers look at the bill and they confirmed I got charged too much. I could have bought a new toilet and had it installed for what they charged. I should point out that there no issue with the quality of the work that was done or anyone who I dealt with at the company, all that was perfectly fine. I just don't like being overcharged.

Lifesavers for our no heat emergency situation! They suggested a heat pump solution to replace the non working 30 year old gas furnace and replaced 20 year old AC system. They helped with the challenging paperwork to get the Mass Save no interest loan, a rebate and we also have a tax credit. The new system was installed quickly but the rebate process took two months and patience.

We've used A&L a couple of times for our annual system tune-ups and have been very happy with how professional they are. They are easy to schedule with and they aren't pushy with sales, which is really nice (compared to our last company we used). We recently have our furnace serviced by Shawn and he was professional and polite! I recommend A&L for any HVAC needs.
