Akian Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning

I selected Akian to clean my tankless hot water heater based on online reviews (they were also less expensive than other companies I contacted). This is a local and family owned business. Communication was great - The company communicated by email and text messages and even sent me a picture of the person who was coming to the house. My technician, Dom, was very friendly and excited about his work. He clearly explained everything he was about to do and how long it would take. He wore protective coverings on his shoes in the house and was nice to my dog. During his down-time while the solution was cleaning my Navian he fixed an issue I was having with a shower head. After the job was completed he asked if there were any questions I had. I give them my highest recommendation and will be using them for annual service.

I needed my toilet replaced and my neighbor highly recommended Akian Plumbing and now I do, too. George A arrived on time, was very thorough, professional, and helpful. He explained everything, helped me select what I needed/wanted, took care of ordering the supplies, and brought them at the time of install. The installation was amazing. George and Michael brought all of the necessary supplies and did an excellent job in removing the old toilet, cleaning and preparing the area for the new toilet, and installing and testing the new toilet. When they left it looked like no work had been done. In the future, I will only use Akian Plumbing.

Had such an on and off experience with Akian. At first I scheduled an appointment to get a gas conversion quote through text. The person gave me a date and time window and I accepted, then asked for my contact information to book it in which I replied. I thought I was all set. A few days later, the day of the appointment, no one came. After reaching out to them they said there was a glitch in their system so they never booked me. I waited around for 4 hours for nothing! Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I rescheduled and finally someone came a different day. The guy was very nice, helpful, and understanding. He was so helpful that he impressed us and honestly based off of him and the reviews we saw, we decided to move forward. We reached out to him for a few small questions we had, and never got a response. After waiting a few more days with no response, we called their main line to see if someone else could help answer our questions and were told someone would call us back the next day. We waited again for a few days, never got a call, so called back. Were told the same thing, this time that it would even be escalated, but still no one called us back. Finally the technician responded to my email and said he would call me back the next day. Well, that day came and he didn't. We were literally trying to give them our money and no one would get back to us. That went on for about 2 weeks. We gave up and went with another company. Besides the guy the day of our assessment, there was no respect at all from them. "someone will call you back tomorrow" was their response for everything.

Akian plumbing was so easy to work with. They set up a free consult very quickly, gave a detailed explanation, came and did all the work and the end product is great. Thank you to Evan and Jayden for their work, they were professional and very pleasant. Will be using Akian plumbing again for sure!!

My boiler wasn't working and I had to keep refilling it in January. I made an online appointment with Akian for a week later, but they reached out to me via text and I got in appointment within 24 hours. Chris and his assistant kept me informed about their location the day of the appointment and very communicative which I appreciated. Chris found a leak in the boiler but also pointed out that my hot water heater had a warning light on and was badly rusted (it was 9 years old). Long story short, they fixed the issue with leaking boiler and replaced the hot water heater that day. The boiler was extremely rusted and needed a lot of cleaning due to improper maintenance. Chris walked me through their process with a tablet and photographs of the issues with both systems and showed me the work that they did. It took them many hours to complete the work. It was more costly than other estimates that I got, but I there were some reasons provided for this as type of hot water heat, and exhaust situation. I'm also not sure if when the other specialists showed up if the price would have gone up or if maybe they would not have done such a thorough job. I feel like I made the right choice going with Akian to have the work done. Chris showed me that a pipe from the hot water heater snapped off as they were moving it and it's interior was extremely rusted out. It took them essentially the entire day to complete the jobs. My heat is now working and I have hot water so I'm happy. I would use Akian plumbing again since I believe they were very thorough and careful in their work and this is worth it for the peace of mind.

I recently moved and had some questions and concerns about the plumbing in my home. Jeremy and Spencer were courteous and helpful in running down some answers and scheduling service calls. Evan and Dominic were both very friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and nonjudgmental during their service calls. They took the time to answer my questions thoroughly and explain what maintenance I should plan for in the coming months and years. Dominic fixed a problem with the kitchen faucet almost before I was done explaining it! I will certainly call Akian for any future plumbing work. Update 3/20/25: Had Nick come out to replace a leaking faucet and some old shutoff valves and was extremely pleased with the result. Nick was careful, checked in with me at several stages to make sure I was satisfied with the installation, and cleaned the workspace when he was done. He answered all my questions and took a little extra time to check out other plumbing concerns and offer advice.
