1. Hired to unclog a kitchen drain. $178.00 dollars and 5 hours later, my kitchen drain would clog up after 10 seconds of running my water. I’d also like to mention, it took the plumber ten minutes of work to do this and about 10 minutes of discussion with me and diagnosis of the issue. That’s $534 an hour (more or equal to that of a high-end attorney or your average specialty doctor). I don’t understand how someone could sleep at night knowing that they didn’t even need a bachelors degree to charge ridiculous rates for standing over a drain and pushing/pulling their hand up and down with a piece of metal. Actually they didn’t even need to exert themselves this much; the auger used (about $30.00 off amazon) allowed them to attach itself to a drill. I completely waisted $178.00 on this plumber; they did absolutely nothing for me other than snake pipes that did not need this work done. The issue came down to the mere removal of a Studor mini-vent that unexplainably was causing my pipes to back up. Hence removing it, I have had zero issues with no ramifications to my kitchen, sink, or related plumbing. 2. Quoted me $1,500 to do plumbing work for another issue unrelated to the aforementioned. I asked a family friend to assist. $62 dollars at Home Depot - minus refund for unused supplies $16(ish) = $46.00 and the problem was fixed. They did spend about 4-5 hours doing this, but they were not professional plumbers and spent a lot of time troubleshooting and going to the store for me. I imagine this work would have taken them aprox. two hours of work which is about $700 an hour. Point being, their prices and nature of work is comparable to highway robbery in my opinion.

I wish I could add some more stars to the review. Fantastic job by both crews. You made a potential crisis easier to swallow. Thanks for the prompt service and the professional job by both crews.

Thank you Justin! You did a wonderful job, answered our questions and adjusted a valve we didn't know we had a problem with. It was a short job, time-wise and, although you could have, you didn't charge for something that had already been done. We appreciate this very much and will request you if we have any further work to be done.
