Had a wonderful experience with Aqua City Plumbing. I needed a sump pump put in my basement ASAP as a flood was occurring. I called the company and was able to get someone out immediately. I was sure there would be an extra cost, it was later in the evening, but was pleasantly surprised that it was billed at regular rates. The company was up front about pricing, and I only paid what was quoted. The plumber was able to come out and offer me a variety of pumps. It was installed in a timely manor and has worked perfectly. I would recommend this company.

Aqua City Plumbing (and Dave the owner in particular) is a classic example of a business that takes advantage of people who need plumbing work done NOW, and who trust that they will get an honest and competitive price. Not the case with this company. Others have noted that Aqua City will NEVER give an estimate over the phone (not even a "rough ballpark" figure). And they charge about $79 just to come out to give an estimate. What kind of business is that? But people who have an Aqua City magnet on their refrigerator or phone book (like my daughter) still fall for this scam. In my daughter's case, they came out and gave her a $700+ estimate to replace two shutoff valves on either side of the water meter. She didn't know how much work was involved, and one valve connection was dripping on the basement carpet, so she accepted. The work took about 1.5 hours. I called later to complain about the outrageous charge, and I told Dave that the valves cost no more than $20 each. I asked him how he came up with the $700+ price, and he basically told me that it was none of my business (he has "high overhead"). He said that my daughter accepted his price quote, so he did nothing wrong. I told him he took advantage of her trust, her lack of plumbing knowledge, and her desperation to get the leak fixed. I also told him I contacted two other plumbers, and they DID give me an estimate over the phone. Both estimates were between $200 and $300. My message: Check out reviews before choosing a plumber, and don't just refer to the magnet on your refrigerator. If my daughter would have done this, she would not have called Aqua City Plumbing to begin with.

I have had Aqua City out to do a few jobs in my homes. I have had toilets replaced, natural gas grills hooked up, garbage disposals replaced, faucet replaced, and clogged drains cleared. I would highly recommend this company. They show up, are very professional in their appearance, wear shoe protectors to keep your floor clean, and leave the work site cleaner than when they got there. I would highly recommend this company. Plumbing is not something you should try to do yourself. Make sure you hire a competent, highly trained and experienced plumber! Call Aqua City!

We used Aqua City for the first time today, and they will forever be our go-to plumbing service. Dave V was knowledgeable, professional, and an extremely nice guy to boot! We couldn't have been happier with the service and would highly recommend Aqua City. Thanks, Dave, for the stand up work and the kindness you showed with our bill.

HORRIFIC. I called Aqua City because I wanted a quote on what it would cost to disconnect my old Rheem H2O water heater and hook up my new AO Smith H2O water heater that I had purchased myself. They told me that they couldn't give me a price, or any kind of price range, over the phone because they would have to look at the job first. They told me that there would be a $79.00 charge just to come out and then when we had the work done they would take $79.00 off the final price. I agreed to have them come out because I believed that it would end up costing about $200-$300 to have it installed. They said they would arrive at 10:30 - 11:30am and they didn't end up showing up until 2:20pm AFTER I called them to inquire if they were still coming out. The plumber that came out (he mentioned that his name was Dave and that he was the owner) wrote me up a quote for $1,569.00 to disconnect my current water heater and hook up the new one. $1,569!!!!!! I was astonished that he believed that I would pay that price. After I told him that the price was way too high he handed me a bill for $79.00 for a service charge. The Aqua City plumber (Dave) seemed like a very nice gentleman but I truly believed that he was trying to take advantage of me because he felt as though I had no other options. I ended up going to Home Depot and spending $49.82 on parts and installed it myself. I was really nervous about initially installing it which I why I called Aqua City in the first place. It took me about an hour to do and my neighbor came over and helped me ensure there were no gas or water leaks. I am writing this review so that others can be sure to check prices first and do their due diligence before they commit to Aqua City.

Extremely expensive. For the $750 he charged for $100 in parts and 1 hour work, I would have expected more. I was surprised that the service call fee did not apply to the work cost. Get multiple quotes and know you're paying 90% labor with this company.

After calling three different companies I tried Fast Response and they were the only company that said they could come out within the hour and have it fixed at the regular rate. Since it was Friday afternoon and almost 4 o'clock my options with the other companies were to wait until Monday or pay a ridiculous emergency fee. My kitchen sink was clogged with no hope of draining even after several of my own attempts. Adrian was at my door 30 minutes after making the service request. He was very professional. He cleared the clog and showed me where it was at as well as educate me on the harmful effects of drano. I will definitely use this company again.
