Bonfe Underground
Review Summary
- Positive: Technicians are often personable, knowledgeable, and thorough. Some are praised for being friendly, answering questions, and cleaning up after work. They offer price options and are sometimes available on weekends. Some customers had positive experiences with furnace and AC installations.
- Negative: Some customers experienced long wait times, scheduling issues, and communication problems. One customer was quoted a high price for a simple task and later found a cheaper solution. A free inspection offer resulted in multiple rescheduling attempts and ultimately no service.

Harrison was super nice. Talked to my gated dogs whom are basically my kids (so major bonus points) was thorough and informative. Got our clog taken care of and was never appearing rushed in his service or work. Checked for gas leak from sewer smell to top it off for our safety. Only complaint had to do with wait time which from my calls and texts seem to be from overbooking. Good price with coupon was a bonus.

Frank and Cheenu were the workers sent to unplug the sewer connection at the home. They were on time, personable and answered any questions I had. They completed the project and proceeded with backfill and cleanup. Very professional, cleaned up and removed all unneeded and unwanted materials before leaving. Would definitely welcome their return if ever needed.

Mark was knowledgeable of his job. He explained what, where and why questions and gave different option in how to resolve our drain problem. He also gave us price options for the service that Bonfe charges. He is patient and very friendly individual. Thanks for the great work. Our drain is fully functional now.

Horrible waste of time and money. Tech quoted me $800 to remove a basement toilet so they could get at the main line for clearing. I went ahead and took it out for him in 5 minutes. (If my calculations are correct, that would have been the equivalent of $9000 an hour to take a toilet out!). Then proceeded to tell me, after he was unsuccessful getting further than 11 feet into the mainline as there was blockage there and had to stop, that they'd need $6500 to excavate mainline pipe to repair (supposed) blockage by putting portions of a new pipe in. I called a steam jetter and he had water flowing to septic system within 40 minutes. Main line is clear and working.

Technician was good by removing the clogged in our kitchen sink. Iām not satisfied with the whole day of waiting. Weāre waiting since 7AM and the technician arrived at 4PM. Automated calls are not necessary because youāre disturbing your clients. Also one who received my call didnāt put that I prefer a morning schedule, sheās an irresponsible employee.

Not impressed! Got a mailing for a free camera inspection of main sewer line to street due to some upgrades that were done in the area last year. I believe the offer was to be preventive. First I scheduled itā¦. Mind you they give you a 12 hour window of when service will be completed. So they offer me a Saturday-I think great, donāt need to take off work. Later that day, I get a confirmation text about Saturdays appointment at about the same time I get a voice mail saying they donāt do this service on Saturdays I need to call and reschedule. I call to reschedule-fine Iāll take a day off work. During the day Iām off work, I get a text saying Iām scheduled for today. Later in the morning, I get a text saying lots of emergencies-can you reschedule⦠they offer $25bonfe bucks. Nope, I took day off of work for free inspection. Just after lunch I get a repeat of text but offering $50bonfe bucks. Nope. About 4pm I get a phone call from service saying they will not be able to make it today. They need to reschedule. Iām pissed! š”. When we reschedule it is for after 3 the next day since I already took an entire day off! (Not the 12 hour window). Next day, I get confirmation text, Iām scheduled for today. Later I get a phone call telling me my service person is on the wayā¦3 minutes. He arrives and comes in to visually see area heās working on. Then goes back to truck for camera and equipment. Back to basement, he tries to get the cap off ā¦. But canāt get it. Makes me sign a release saying he may need to replace cap after he gets it off. Fine. Heās not able to get it off⦠asks if I know where secondary floor drain is located. Yes I do, I just installed vinal plank last March. Itās under the floor. Not getting access that way. He looks and tries again⦠asks about a toilet to use-I say sure it right there. He tells me there would be an āadditional costāā¦. Between $400-$500 charge to go through toilet. I said no. Iām not paying you hundreds of dollars for a free camera inspection. Service guy said āI understand-and recommend getting access to the floor drain.ā Then leaves. Without performing inspection.

Mark Hiegel is absolutely wonderful! He provided efficient and professional solutions for our sudden emergency clogged sewer back-up. And on a Sunday when another company was not available. Mark is especially friendly and competent, plus he kindly answered my numerous questions. Problem solved!
