Buy a furnace is a major purchase and you wanna feel comfortable and secure no matter what company you go with this company is not it. ā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøPlease please please donāt chose this company for ANY serviceā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøā¼ļøThis is my experience and it is a real. You will have nothing but headaches after. This is your warning. I got a furnace installed three weeks ago from now. I wrote a check which I paid cash. They were really quick to get here to collect the check and do the work, but they were not quick at all to correct the issues that Iām having with the furnace. The first frustrating started when the technician that installed the furnace asked me if I would like for him to leave the thermostat behind for me to install it myself after I just paid him $5200 to put the furnace and thermostat in. I was trying to figure out why would I want to install it myself if he was here to install it and it was a part of the contract. He said if your gas doesnāt blow out cold, shut this line off and then turn it back on. (Mondayās service technician told me no he shouldnāt have told you that). I start having issues two weeks in. Now the Customer service reps theyāre not gonna pass on your message so make sure youāre recording the phone calls because I sure wasā¦.. Called customer service on Thursday at 11:18pm stated she would send an email to service technician to call me Friday to schedule. Told her I wasnāt off til 5p. She said ok Iāll note that. No call. Called Saturday afternoon 1:09p customer service states no message was sent over. And scheduled me for Monday. Woke up Sunday morning I have no hot water or heat. Called spire on Sunday morning 5:57a He stated the gas line was shut off and that maybe the tech forgot to turn it back on. Monday Services technician comes and say itās a possibility there could be a clog . Iām confused on why he didnāt check the clog. He stated that I should monitor it and let them know if something was going on. He told me the service technicians were on call until 9 p.m. so I donāt understand why I never got a schedule or a call from my first call on Friday. Called Tuesday at 5:57am customer service rep state that they open at 7 am and that heāll note for them to call me urgent. No call Called at 8:45a to see when a service technician would be out and I had to walk through the whole process again. I informed the lady that this would be my fourth time calling you guys and that I could not afford to wait from 8 to 6 throughout the whole day when this was my only off day I had other things to do. And I needed to set time. She put me on hold again and stated after the service technician got done with the job that he was on this was at 9 oāclock that he will be heading my way. Just so you know an installer and a service technician are two different things. Called at 1145am to see when a technician would be out. I am so frustrated and pissed off with this company. I regret ever going with them when the Customer service agent first came out to give me a quote. I felt uncomfortable and I should have followed that feeling and just went with who made me comfortable, and that was the Hoffman brothers that was my biggest mistake, but not going with them. I believe they know Iām frustrated and theyāre making me wait on purpose, but if they are willing to do this to me, they would do it to you. Save your money. Save your time. Save your frustration. Now, if you got time to waste and donāt mind wasting money for academy, air, to keep coming back-and-forth to your house go right ahead, but I believe theyāre selling lemons. Iāve had my furnace set on 85° since five this morning 3/11/2025. It is now 12 PM and the furnace is reading the same. So the gas lightning and say well at least itās warm outside because that made me feel better about spending $5200. I also added a picture of the first review I made, which was good. But I soon removed it as soon as I start having the issues. I am not removing my review because this is a real experience and people need to know.

Last week three technicians/plumbers (Joe, John, Ryan) were sent to my home to investigate the source of an exterior water leak. I am writing this review to complement them on their thorough investigation, explanations, modifications to an existing repair, and all-around excellent service. I would also like to compliment the original technicians (Mark, Mike, Reggie, and Ben) that made the initial repairs. I donāt remember the name of the technician that assisted with the original estimate but he should also be commended on his recommendations to resolve my ongoing outdoor leak. My current and previous leaks were a direct result of a failed repair/replacement of my water service line by a plumber contracted by the St Louis County Water Service Line Protection Program. The plumber refused to return to resolve the ongoing outdoor leak and St Louis County deemed the source of the problem to be somewhere under my 4-foot porch (after contacting the plumber) and not their responsibility. Both the plumber and St Louis County flat out refused to dig up the supposed 30-foot service line their plumber claimed he replaced to inspect for leaks. No one ever inspected his work which included me. The plumber basically covered the whole he dug and left after 3 hours and never returned. I highly recommend Academy Air, they, have been honest, dependable, and offered a competitive price. Each person that I have come in contact with has had a wonderful personality and truly wanted to assist with resolving my problem. This also applies to the office staff.

Jordan has been amazing. His explanations are thorough and his follow-through has been flawless. He is professional and treated us well in addition to performing all services well. He was able to help us get an appointment with another part of the company for a service only they could provide. Would definitely like to work with him again.

Larry was great today installing a new vanity. The work was quick and professional. Edit - I caught an overcharge on the invoice. Academy Air ghosted me for 6 weeks then refused to acknowledge their billing mistake. The back office does not do justice to the work their plumbers do.

Update----- (see below) I joined the Care Club with 1 furnace visit and 1 a/c visit last year when the tech had to come to my home to replace the capacitor. He didn't bother to tell me that this visit was my 1 a/c visit included in the care club. When I attempted to make an appointment for my 1 furnace visit it is during working hours and I have to take off from work. No evening hours and no Saturday hours. The care club membership fee is not explained properly. I was under the impression those visits are separate from the tech replacing the capacitor. Not explained well and do NOT appreciate the tech eyeballing everything in my home and making comments. NOT professional! Lesson learned! Later that day I received a call from Jen, a manager, who resolved my issue by scheduling a Saturday appointment for me as well as making sure I have 1 furnace maintenance appt and 1 a/c maintenance later this year. I have done business with Academy Air for a few years and this gesture on their part will make me a repeat customer. Thank you Jen for your professionalism. Very much appreciated!

Jordan, our technician, did an amazing job helping us get our furnace up and running! I felt like he was taking care of his furnace as he was going through the process of fixing ours. I run an Airbnb out of a very old and historic home and had customers coming in the next morning. He called numerous places until he found the part we needed and even stayed extra long to make sure the temperature reached a level he was comfortable with. Highly recommended!!
