I really hate to share negative comments but I contacted Ron's Plumbing over a month ago. He claims that he sent an estimator to my house that I am rehabbing but I never received a report. I sent pictures to him of what I wanted and never receive a reply that he received the pictures; no thank you or I'll look into things for you and get you a price. I have called 4 or 5 times and left messages, text 2-3 times and emailed him. I have done everything to communicate he won't give me the courtesy of a phone call. All of my messages were courteous and professional, and I mentioned that not every job is a great fit but just let me know if you don't want the work so I can call someone else. Nothing! No text, phone call or communication of any kind. I don't understand how one can do business this way! It's really unacceptable! If you want a lack of communication, this is your company.

Ron's Plumbing has provided multiple services for me over the past year, with a total cost of $6,000. While I was impressed with their hospitality and work quality, I think it is equally—if not more—important to judge a person or business based on how they respond when things go wrong. I recently encountered an issue where one of Ron’s staff members broke my cabinet shelf while installing my new kitchen sink. If the staff member had told me he broke the shelf and apologized for it at the time it happened, it likely would not have bothered me; people make mistakes. However, they did not inform me of the damage and instead left me to find it myself. The way Ron’s Plumbing has dealt with the issue has been downright insulting. Over a 16-day period, I called Ron four times, left two voice messages, spoke with his receptionist twice, sent an email, and sent three text messages. After all of this, Ron finally acknowledged that the plumber broke the shelf, informed me that they are not responsible, and told me they will not do anything to repair it. After paying Ron $6,000, I expected more.

Called first thing on a Saturday morning. Ron and his team were at my house within the hour. They were friendly and helpful and able to get a very difficult job done in short order. They cleaned up completely after the job and the price was extremely fair. Will definitely use their services in the future.

Very easy to set up an appointment, friendly helpful staff, excellent service and excellent price. It was literally two thirds less than another company's price for a smaller and similar job. I will use them again, absolutely.

I contacted Ron's Plumbing because they came highly recommended by neighbors... I wasn't let down! Chris and his apprentice/helper arrived on time and instantly got to work on my broken shower/tub faucet. They made quick work of the job, explained the work that was completed, and walked me through how to operate the new fixtures. Thanks for the great work!

Update: Two months later and I have a leak in a pipe (turned out they damaged the original washer during install). I call to see about fixing it and what do they say? I left a bad review, so nope. In addition, my entire tub had to be pulled up, tile removed and waterproofing removed, and the drain completely re-done to correct the problems from this plumber (see photos of re-do). $2,000 later... They were completely out of their league trying to do a wet area. New plumber also said the drain was rigged poorly and the wall mount faucets are loosely installed behind the wall. 2nd update: water is saturating the ceiling below the all new copper plumbing they put in. See photo. The walls are tiled on both sides. Fixing their bad work is going to cost a fortune. I have used Ron's several times for small items. They were fine. More recently I used them for a complete bathroom gut because I was in a bind. It was a professionally designed space with blueprints and expensive, exposed fixtures (a $70k bathroom). I generally use very good subs for this type of work. All fixtures and drawings were supplied at the rough-in time. There were quite few hiccups that I don't think would have occurred with more knowledgeable plumbing companies. The plumbing price on my job was about $6k. At one point the plumber asked me if I knew how to install the freestanding tub. Like, what? You're the plumber. They also kept calling my polished nickel fixtures "chrome" even after I told them many times, it's nickel. "They look like chrome". If they've never seen polished nickel fixtures, they haven't seen many bathrooms. They also told me they wanted to cut through a tile floor, cement board, leveling compound, and the original wood subfloor to put in the tub drain AFTER it was laid, like later. My floor installer insisted on pulling the drain pipe up and tiling around it. Several times the plumbers would say "you need this extension piece for that part, we'll have to come back" so I order this part, and when they come back "you also need this piece". There are issues covering the sink drain stub out with the escutcheon supplied. The plumbers tell me now they would have had to know when roughing it in that it was a shallow escutcheon. I had all these parts for years and they are spec'd on drawings. They tell me "we don't know how to read drawings, we're plumbers". The plumbers come to finish the sink drain - this is 6 months in- and tell me the stub out isn't in line with the sink and the trap I have needs it to be in line. YOU SAW THE DRAWINGS, YOU SET THE PIPES, YOU SAW THE FIXTURES, YOU KNEW THEY WERE EXPOSED. I have $400 traps here and they absolutely need to be used. Lastly, they do not know how to install a freestanding tub in a wet area. Because, I realize, they did not put the flange in the hole in the floor so that if any water gets under the tub, it goes down this hole around the drain pipe and into the ceiling below it! When I asked about it - a part I had previously asked if I needed - it was excuse after excuse. What the actual F. (see update regarding this issue, water was raining down into the ceiling below). I could go on...In the end, I had to purchase more parts to rectify their inappropriate or wrong choices, and use design items I did not want. I also had to have another plumber come fix the tub drain. I would recommend them for basic fixes or builder grade stuff, I guess, maybe. I would not recommend them for more elaborate, detailed, or expensive work. My carpenter and tile guy also commented on how they seemed inept. All plumbers are not equal.

Incompetent plumbing crews that do not know or care to plumb a shower/tub correctly. Had a situation where they incorrectly put together our tub drain. Plumber left without performing any tests and said job was done. Called them back out to fix the poor quality job and they went on to charge me for their faulty work. Took them over 2 weeks to do so meanwhile I am showering my 1 yo baby in a shower. We had to call multiple times to figure out when they were coming and pretty confident they were screening our calls. Thanks Ron for the great experience. Will not be using this business ever again.

I was having 2 issues with my plumbing. The master shutoff would not fully turn off my houses water and an outside faucet was severely leaking. I called Ron's plumbing and they wanted to send someone out that very day. I was busy so I scheduled the visit for later in the week. I assumed it would take a few hours to fix this issue since they would have to turn off the water at the street. They quickly turned off the water, installed a Ball valve to act as a new whole home shutoff and installed a brand new outside faucet. The work (even with it raining outside) took less than an hour and they showed me their work to make sure I was happy with it. Very happy with Ron's Plumbing response and quality of work (along with price).
