Review Summary

Miller-Ranney Plumbing receives mixed reviews. Positive feedback highlights easy scheduling, prepared and professional plumbers (Adam, Corey, Brandon, Cody), quick and effective service (Adam), and clean workspaces. Negative reviews cite instances of unauthorized charges, slow and unprofessional service, damage to property (broken items, unnecessary ceiling damage), poor customer service (rude owner, unwillingness to explain charges), and recurring problems after repairs. Some customers experienced technicians who didn't use shoe coverings and left messes.

I have had a few jobs completed by Miller Ranney. Scheduling was easy and Stephanie gets a thorough understanding of the job so the plumbers come prepared, no surprises. All my jobs were completed satisfactorily and with the highest degree of professionalism. Besides Stephanie I give a shout out to Adam, Corey and Brandon…thanks guys for a job well done.

Our shower valve broke overnight and I was stuck with running water or shutting off water to our entire home. I called a few plumbers and no one could get me in for over a week but one of them recommend I try Miller Ranney. The office was as kind as could be and said she would send someone out right away. Adam arrived within 45 min and was able to fix the problem but replacing the cartridge in less than 15 min. He also gave me an honest opinion about some work another Plumbing co tried to upsell us on that he said wasn’t needed. Thank you, Adam and Miller Ranney for turning my day around! I’m so so appreciative!

I rarely post comments online. I am actually looking for a plumber to replace my water heater so I pulled out my folder of invoices from past plumbers we've used. I'm using them to jog my memory on who was good and who was not. I remember this one guy fixed my leak, but left a small mess after repairing a leak at my water meter in the basement. Reading these other posts, I was thinking that I shouldn't use these guys. Then wait! I had used them before. They fixed my leak, but I also evaluate service technicians on their professionalism and dedication to not just fixing the problem but leaving their work area as clean or cleaner than when they arrive. These guys did not so the other 1 star posts do not surprise me.

I can’t say enough about this company & their staff! From the welcoming sound of Stephanie’s voice on the phone, to the professionalism of Cody who has installed a hot water heater and sump pump at my house this year. They are outstanding! Stephanie goes above and beyond to be helpful in every way possible. Cody has been professional, arrived efficiently, explaining details well & works efficiently & quietly. My home has been respected by all employees & the work space is left clean. This is the plumbing company I will continue to work with!!

We've done business with you for 15+ years, but no more. Our last transaction we were charged for a garbage disposal without giving prior approval for the repair. We called them to repair a leaky sink at our rental property. No call from them about needing to replace the disposal, which we were charged over $200 for something that we would pay $110 at Home Depot. AND, we already had a replacement disposal on site for emergencies. If they would have called, they could have used that one and saved us $200. When we called about the bill, we were told that they never call about the repair before doing it. We can't afford to do business this way. Good thing there wasn't a crack in the sink because who knows how much they would have charged to replace that...with no call. Very disappointing.

This company took months to fix our bath tub. They were not professional at all. We had to call them to come back out to fix our bath tub. Call them again to come out and even finish the work. Just never ending with them. Got the bill and seemed very unreasonable so called and spoke with the owner who is just rude. Stating that it is all listed in there. Wouldn’t explain what the charges were. I would not recommend this company. They will take months to fix the problem and over charge you without explaining the bill. Clearly they don’t care about customer service.

Wish I could leave 0 stars!! Our home warranty company sent Miller Raney plumbing to our home to fix a leak in the bathroom ceiling. Experience was overall horrible and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. The tech wore no shoe coverings and broke my Scentsy warmer and did not tell us (we saw after he left that he had cracked it in half and tried to put it back together). We had access to the repair needed through the attic, but he chose to cut a hole in the bathroom ceiling instead. Without telling us first. We only found out as he left and said ā€œSorry about the hole in the ceilingā€. The company said they would not repair holes created as needed for access to a repair. They said that they only cut into the ceiling as an absolute last resort, so the tech must have had a good reason. But we had access through the attic, so this was not needed. When questioned, the tech said the reason it was ā€œnecessaryā€ was because he was too big to fit into the attic access. He did not even look at the attic access once! Even so, the next logical step would be to get a different guy who could do the repair the proper way. Instead, he cut away the ceiling and left the dust and dirt all over my bathroom floor. We were left with a gaping hole in the ceiling that was our responsibility to fix solely because this guy figured he would be too big to get into the attic (without even looking at the attic!). I talked to many people at the company, including the owner, about how I felt that this was unfair. There was attic access that he chose not to consider, so now I have to pay who knows what to get my drywall fixed. It was entirely unnecessary damage! They never tried to understand or work with me, it was all ā€œYou can’t prove he didn’t try the attic. You can’t prove that he left a mess.ā€ The company’s final response after that was ā€œWe have determined that we are no longer a part of this issue.ā€ To top it all off, the leak came back not even a week later. Horrible in-home etiquette, horrible customer service, overall horrible experience!

I feel the one star this company is receiving from me is much more than they deserve, but unfortunately this will not allow me to do 0 stars. I had a leak under my sink, it was not a terrible leak, which is good since it took them a week to send a technician out, but it was covered by my home warranty so I didn't have a choice but to wait. When the technician finally arrived, he "fixed" the problem under the sink and went on his way, but that evening when I went to run my dishwasher, it didn't drain. I assumed it was a problem with the dishwasher so I did some investigating only to find that when I disconnected the dishwasher drain hose that it drained with no problem, so clearly it was a problem with the drain pipe that the technician "fixed". I called the next business day and told them what was going on and they sent the same tech out again, who just said "it wasn't anything I did, your dishwasher is broken". Now I have to wait for the appliance repair person to come out and tell me there is nothing wrong with my dishwasher only to have to wait for the home warranty company to send out another plumber to fix the problem this moron caused to begin with. Oh did I mention I still have a leak under the sink
