Ohio Buckeye Plumbing

Just sharing an experience I had with Buckeye Plumbing. I did not hire them directly. We recently purchased a home in June, and it was identified in our home inspection that one of our sump pumps was not working properly and recommended replacement. The seller hired Buckeye Plumbing to come out and replace the sump pump. It was reported to us from the seller that “At the time of replacement buckeye plumbing found the sump pump to be operable. It appears that the float was the issue”. Now fast forward 3 months later, the sump pump no longer works at all and needed a full replacement. Over the last 3 months it has barely worked and we actually had to buy a regular utility pump to manually pump out the water for a bit until we could get a plumber to replace it. I truly believe Buckeye Plumbing was favoring the seller, not being a fiduciary for all parties, and just doing what was needed to get the job done as cheaply as possibly for the seller, effectively passing on the buck to the buyer. It is my fault ultimately for not verifying their work and demanding the pump be replaced despite their “float fix”, but take a look at these photos I’m attaching of the “operable” sump pump. There is a reason our home inspection recommended replacement. The fact that an experienced plumber can look at this pump and recommend not following through with the replacement asked for and recommended leads me to believe they were just doing whats best for the seller and not the other party, the buyer. Keep this in mind when considering hiring them.

The lady I talked to schedule was very nice and understanding of our situation and did a great job of seting expectations. The plumber arrived on time, explained the situation and the actions he was taking along with realistic expectations. He then then finished in the estimated time. I will absolutely be calling them next time I need to but hope I never need to.

Can't say enough good things about Ohio Buckeye Plumbing. I've had two sump pumps replaced, and had modifications made so that I am now using the recirculation pump on my tankless hot water system to get hot water, even at the furthest point, much much faster than ever before. Matt and Brian were on time, efficient, provided me with great communication and were very professional. Clean up was excellent. Shannon was also very understanding, excellent communication, and going forward, I won't be calling anyone else.

I just purchased a home in Olmsted Falls, OH. Ohio Buckeye Plumbing came out and installed a new 50G WH and drew a gas line from my basement into the laundry room. Tim was the Tech that came out and his workmanship is outstanding. As he was working he noticed a number of things that my home inspector had missed. These are repairs that cannot be deferred, and we are glad Tim is so knowledgeable about all things related to plumbing. I highly recommend Tim and the entire Ohio Buckeye Plumbing team.
