Called about a leak under my sink. They sent out Guillermo- a very pleasant and helpful young man. He installed my new faucet and even filled the soap dispenser and showed me how to do it. Made sure everything was working right and cleaned up. Sometimes it’s the little things that impress

Above and beyond is what Guillermo Rubke does! He spent time considering what was best for our home and made it all happen even when he ran into unexpected problems and never charged us more than was quoted. I appreciate his integrity and will continue being a 5star member of this company as long as this is the kind of service I receive. They are part of the profits for purpose program as well. A wonderful blessing to have them on our team.

Jacob showed up from Five Star and was so professional and knowledgeable. He fixed our issue and explained what he did and why it happened. We were very pleased that he took the time he did to not only fix the problem but to take the time to be so nice to us. I would highly recommend this company as this is the second time we’ve used them for a plumbing issue and Kyle installed a water heater for us and he was just as professional and kind. Did an amazing job. Well done to Five Star for having great employees that get the job done in a very timely manner.

I had a shower pipe bust in the wall and needed service quickly, they had a man named Roody come within 3 hours of my emergency service and he was so kind and caring and really made me feel as if he was friend. He explained everything he was doing and we had great conversation. If you get Roody as your service provider youll be in good hands!

Hired through Lowes to install a hot water tank. During the process mineral build up in the pipes was released into the rest of the house and clogged the kitchen faucet when he blead air out through the kitchen faucet. I'm not necessarily blaming the plumber, I'n not a plumber and I don't know what could or could not have been done to avoid this. However, leaving the job in this condition was very unprofessional. I called 10 minutes after he left and explained the situation. I was told that it wasn't his problem and he thought the water pressure at the sink was normal and that different houses have different levels of water pressure. Somehow I think most people would disagree, see the video of the flow from my kitchen faucet.

Job: Repair pipe Price: $382 total Pros: The repair was done timely and effectively Cons: I got scammed and the company may be getting scammed too. See details below. I have had larger jobs with this company cost hundreds of dollars less. Details: 1. Service Line texted me about a $79 safety inspection. I state, I actually need a repair. Service Line says it will actually be $99 and scheduled a technician to visit soon. I asked about the Friends & Family discount that I have used for the last 3 years, and Service Line said they don't do those anymore. 2. Technician arrives on time. Completes his diagnosis and repair solution which would be a small pipe adjustment. States the price of $283. I look at the pipe, and I think, that seems like a steep price for a tiny job, but I go along, I want to support my friend's business. 3. Technician completes the job from arrival in less than 30 minutes. He did a great job. He then gives me the bill and states a total of $382. I asked if the $99 gets included in the repair since that is what has happened every other time I have gotten a plumbing repair with Five Star. He said, no and that the Service Line should have told me that before scheduling the repair. Every single job I have hired through Five Star had discounted the $99 diagnosis fee in the past, but the technician said that the company always add the $99 to the repair price. 4. Just to cover my bases, I asked him if I can get the Friends & Family discount. He said that those discounts do not exist and never have existed. He said that he had been with the company for about 3 years. I told him that I have gotten the Friends & Family discount many times in the last 3 years including 6 months ago. He said that I was wrong and that the discount does not exist. I challenged him and said I have the receipts that the discounts do exist, but I understand that it is not his role to apply these discounts, so I won't bother him. He then asked me to understand that a lot of people know my friend, one of the owners, and that many times my friend does not know these people. I understand that. He then said that he does not want to bother calling my friend over this. I understand. (But now I am thinking, wait, he can apply a discount if he would ever even call and that people have mentioned the discount to him before. So he lied to me about the discount not existing). I mentioned that I received the discount 6 months ago in this same house, and he admitted that he does sometimes in fact give the Friends & Family discount in some situations, but again explained that he did not want to make the call to confirm that I am a friend of one of the owners. My friend told me to mentioned the Friends & Family discount 2 years ago, and I took that as a way to not have to bother my friend with a business call. He is very busy with his other company and I respect his time more than my money. The tech's name tag stated Jeff or Jerry, if I remember correctly. 5. I see other reviews that mention a similar scenario and made me realize this technician gaslighted me. I am interested to know what would have happened if I showed him my text messages with my friend that served as proof of my relationship with one of the owners. 6. I have worked with Eco Plumbers and Roto Rooter and never had these issues and the prices were significantly lower for similar jobs. The same can be said for comparable estimates on larger jobs. 7. I am willing to change this review and continue to trust Five Star for my friend's sake if this technician's practices change back to the honesty I am used to from Five Star. I understand that Five Star's fast growth has opened up opportunities for people like this Technician who appears to be a highly skilled trade man, good salesman, and terrible person for customer retention. God bless you all. If there was a better way to handle this, please let me know.

Edited to add 5 Star to my review as the tech drove up in a 5 Star truck and I've read NP is now included with 5 Star. Do not recommend. Been a customer of Narrow Path Plumbing (now 5 Star) for ten years or so. Always happy with their service and price. Called last week about the shower handle in my bathroom that was becoming hard to turn on. Tech arrived and looked at it. He went out to his van for around 20 minutes. He came back in with the part and a quote for $393.53 and told me he was taking the service charge of $99 off the bill to give me a discount (I guess without the discount it would have been $492.53). I was shocked, but told him to proceed with the repair. He completed the repair in 20-30 mins (max). He showed me the part. I paid the bill (invoice says 'Replace Moen 1255 cartridge for your one handle faucet'). I paid. He left. Oh, by the way, his name was Jerry. Later that evening I looked the part up on line. I found a picture for the Moen 1255 cartridge. It costs @ $25; therefore if you do the math, the service itself was over $350 for 20-30 mins of active work. Dang I wish I was a plumber! I have called Narrow Path/5 Star twice now to discuss this excessive charge. I was twice promised a return call from the plumbing manager (I wanted to avoid writing a bad review if possible). I did not receive a return call. I will never use them again, and will encourage others not to as well.

Recently had some work done with 5 star. Finding some issues with the work they did last week. Will be calling next week to see if the problems will be remedied (respectful of a company that fixes their mistakes). Review to be continued.....
