Mr Tubs Plumbing (AKA Matt Leach) did an excellent job for us - repairing a broken sewer line, installing a sewer line check valve and installing a basement floor drain. We recently purchased a 100 + year old South Philadelphia row home that requires many repairs and upgrades. We selected Matt for the plumbing because: 1. He was knowledgeable, confident and experienced in what was required for our job. 2. His price was in line with the companies that have good reputations on Angie’s List and Yelp. 3. He didn’t try to “up sale” us on ripping out all basement plumbing. 4. He was the guy who estimated and bid the work and was also the person who would actually do the work. 5. Unlike two of the companies bidding the job, he would get the required permits and do the job by-the-book. 6. He is just a hell of a nice guy, running his family-owned business, doing skilled and difficult work for an honest price. His crew was on time, professional, and his office person could not be nicer to deal with. Additional info: Matt also went above and beyond in two ways. 1. On the day of the job, I asked him to add a floor drain to the project. This seemed like a simple request from a home-owners perspective but given the limited space in the work area, it was a really difficult fit. But he pulled it off. 2. I ask Matt to leave the floor concrete open so I could make some adjustments to some other utilities that are also installed in this tight corner of the basement floor. While working on it I noted a void under/outside of the old field stone wall of the row home. I contacted Matt for advice and a day later he had one of his men back to pack the area with stone. He really didn’t need to do this because, given the age of the home, the void could have been there for years. Matt just handled it. This is why, going forward, Mr. Tubbs will always be our Philly plumber. Final note: Matt also teaches plumbing in the evenings, so he really knows his trade.

We absolutely loved our experience working with Matt and team. My husband and I recently purchased a home that required extensive plumbing work to repair corroded pipes and the outgoing waste line. Matt was professional and quick with all of the work which allowed us to move into our home on time and without any issues. We cannot thank or recommend him enough!

Never had a better experience with a plumbing company in my 5 years of owning a house. Everyone from the receptionist to the guys that show up on the call, top notch. Thank you Mr Tubs.

Five stars! Did a great job on my shower which wasn't the easiest, but they were in & out and reasonably priced. Will use again no doubt.

This is the greatest company that has ever existed. I am moving to PA just so I can clog a toilet and have them fix it again. Truly great men and great workers.

If I could give 20 stars I would. Matt and the team are beyond talented in their craft. Very kind, accurate and detailed. The communication is clear and expectations are always met. 100% recommend.

A+ service - used them twice for a backflow installation the prior year (2023) and the annual test (2024). Backflow installation was quick and simple, got what needed to be done and gave documentation. A bit expensive but the best pricing from the Philly list that was available for certified technicians that I called. Annual test may or may not be expensive ($200) but I'm fine paying them since they did a good job and was very quick. Lost track of date due and requested next day service to which they obliged. Will definitely be using them again for future services should I need it.

Mr. Tubs is literally the best. I'm surprised we haven't reviewed them before, because they have been to our house several times about a variety of issues. Large or small jobs, Mr. Tubs does quality work, and all of the service folks who come out to our house are on time, courteous, and efficient. Matt and his team are always our go-to for any plumbing issues.
