This post from 8 months ago was my EXACT experience with them. He showed up, no tools, rude and dismissive and filled out the warranty paperwork days later after I had to call back. Filled it out with the wrong problem and I needed a second plumber to come and address the issue. DO NOT ACCEPT THEM AS THE PLUMBER FOR YOUR AHS WARRANTY. YOU CAN REQUEST A DIFFERENT SERVICE PROVIDER “The owner Eric is the most unprofessional rude and incompetent plumber that I’ve ever come in contact with. He came to my property with no tools not ready to do any work. His pupils were dilated and he seemed irritated. He incorrectly, diagnosed issues in the house and filled out factually incorrect documentation and submitted it to America Home shield. He talked about how he earns 60,000 and service fees each year. He’s a scam artist. I Had to request a second opinion to get the repairs completed.”

Came by as part of a home warranty job. Didn’t do any actual work because it wasn’t covered under my policy, but he was able to diagnose the problem and help me identify the issue was part of a previous repair, and helped me with some advice on how to resolve it with the previous plumber. I think a lot of the negative reviews are because the owner is very no nonsense. You’re not the professional, so you’re not gonna be able to tell him what’s going to be covered and what you’d have to pay out of pocket.

This contractor was assigned through my Warranty Insurance coverage, He was beyond Rude and nasty, he came with no tools to fix the problem, he kept talking about things were hooked up illegally (which they are not) he made every excuse there was. not to unclog the main drain imaginable, He was loud and over bearing, I explained to him the problem, he negated basically everything I said & swore that the pipes needed to be removed and it could not support what’s there, he ranted about my warranty company not thinking he was truthful about jobs, then he kept talking about something on the roof that says I didn’t have but from a previous plumber I do and when I challenged him because he saw my demeanor was not receptive of what he was saying, he dismissed it ALL! awful and unprofessional service, I would never recommend him to anyone in need of professional plumbing service the experience was almost as if he was flat out prejudice and I really fighting with myself regarding the experience in even mentioning it, but the facts remain the facts. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

He was contracted through American home shield warranty. I paid $125 for him to temporarily fix my issue. Literally no parts were purchased. He's a naturally rude ignorant person. He talks over others and as soon as you ask a question he starts running his mouth. As if youre not qualified to ask the great "HIM" questions. Two days after he "fixed" my issue it was broken again. He didn't replace anything. He bent what was already there. I had to hire a real plumber to actually fix instead of rig up a temporary fix. And I'm also disputed my $125 to AHS

My water heater started leaking and I called my Home Warranty and it was assigned to Rod Plumbing. Before I could put my phone down I got a call from Rod's plumbing and was scheduled for the next day. I advised them that my daughter had a 10am appointment and if there was any time available before then. To my surprise they had availability. The crew arrived at my home around 9:15am. Very very polite, professional, and considerate that my daughter had an appointment. He replaced the valve on my water heater in no time. He was very informative with everything that he was doing. I must say this was a very pleasant and quick fix. I will hands down recommend Rod's Plumbing to all my friends and family. Thank you.

This man was rude ignorant to me and my witness! He told me in order to fix my stopped up kitchen sink he would have to “ tear up your little finished bathroom in your finished basement!” He told me I didn’t know how to use the garbage disposal cause “you didn’t run water” when I used the disposal. Maybe it’s because the disposal was put in in 2009. When I gave him a one star with AHS they sent it to him and within 5 minutes he texted me saying “ you’re a liar.” He texted me nasty threatening texts until I blocked him. He has aggravated my PTSD and I didn’t sleep a wink knowing he has my address and is an angry arrogant fool who seemed to be jealous of the finished basement of this 70 yo disabled minority! What else would make him act this way. And guess what?. AHS didn’t do a damn thing. I gave them $165. this month and he didn’t do a damned thing ! He told them the job was complete which was nothing but lies. BE AWARE AND STEER CLEAR!!!!

Yesterday, I contacted American Home Shield to get a leak taken care of. They dispatched Rod Plumbing. The two plumbers who came were Joe and AJ. They came in, identified the issue, and were able to get the issue fixed. Joe explained every step of the process and gave some other great pointers and tips. They were courteous and professional. I would recommend these two any time.
