As a long time real estate professional I have worked with most household-name vendors across the city, Poillucci Plumbing stands out as a company that cares and is consistent. I appreciate their process and have enjoyed everyone I’ve worked with. They’re my go-to for anything plumbing related.

They replaced our fill valve and other boiler repairs in Nov 2024. They were efficient and diagnosed/fixed it within the same day. Cost about $640. Other known brand plumbers not so reasonable. They are our go to plumber and I advised a few people to contact them for their repairs.

had this company come up as part of Peoples Gas Insurance, there was a clog under the floors, they did clear the clog by drilling holes in the outside drain and plunging the toilet but it was not completely unclogged cost $325( to plunge the toilet) two months later and several hundred more dollars it was done right by Roto Rooter who ran a camera down the line to see what the problem was before clearing the drain. we now have a clear idea of what needs to be done to correct the problem when this Company just slapped a band aid on the issue. for $325 dollars Roto Rooter ran a camera and cleared the clog completely not leaving stuff behind they showed the home owner the entire time what was going on. again same money but much better service from Roto Rooter who this company just told me on the phone is not a real plumber... no they are better

I’m not sure where to even start but with the owner would be a good place he’s arrogant and he’s rude,He throws in your face that he’s been in business for 40 years not sure how the attitude that he has, I deal with the public everyday all day & i have never been spoken to the way this man spoke to me, will not ever recommend him to anyone unless you wanna deal with what we delt with not to mention , said they were done & was not anywhere close to being finished with what we agreed apon, also had to have someone come in & fix his mess ups & finish the job… what a waste of money & time.

Do not use this company, they will tell you don't be fooled by other plumbers, they will rip you off. Thats just what they did, rip me off. I was charged 540$ for a dye test and pressure valve on my water meter (which i needed, another bid for same service was 230$) and then they held my dye test for ransom and would not send to Shaler Twp (when it passed) unless they did a 540$ unnecessary fix to the fresh air vent to the sewer to make above grade. Do not use, trust or call this business!

The prices charged are ridiculously high and they took advantage of my partner who was completely unaware of the going rate for said job when I was not home. Also, they did not provide a formal itemized quote and simply said "$500 is the going rate for this job, do you want to proceed." The total all in cost to replace a water pressure regulator valve was $500! Lets break it down....On average the part in question ranges from $150-$200 at the big box stores, so lets assume a 25% markup to $250 (ridiculous in my opinion). The job took ~30 minutes and TWO people came. $250 in labor for a 30 minute job, I must be in the wrong industry. Charging someone double the labor because you bring two people to do a one person job is borderline unethical. Do not use this company. I used back of the napkin math, inflated my markups, accounted for double labor to finally get to the final cost. UPDATE: I had completely forgotten about this until the owner replied publicly 4 months later omitting key details. My partner tried to contact the company three times over two days time immediately after the job. We posted this review because we wouldn't want others to feel pressured or taken advantage of in a similar situation. They called back days later saying they wished we would have called before posting a negative review. They also flat out refused to give an itemized breakdown when requested. I've used other plumbing companies since and that is SOP. Let their response (4 months after the incident when they already spoke with us about it) speak for itself, folks!

We have used Poillucci Plumbing since 2009. We have had a bevy of problems in our old c.1926 house. They have always been able to figure out what was wrong - sometimes it takes some detective work - and do the needed repairs with a minimum of wear & tear. Reliable, great service.

Poillucci did a camera test of our sewer line for buyers of our house. They found a root ball growing in the pipe which was not a surprise. They said it would be about $1500 to hydroblast the root ball. As an offhand remark to our buyer, they said it could be $50,000 to replace the pipe and it was near collapse. This put the sale of the house in jeopardy. We had McVay come out for a second opinion. They said there was a rootball but it wasn't causing any problems yet. In addition, the rootball was at a junction shared by 3 other homes. They saw no need to do anything as the rootball was small and not causing any issues. Even if the pipes had to be replaced, the cost would be split 4 ways and would be nowhere near $50,000. Do not use Poillucci for your camera test. Just a way for them to scam people.
