Chris was polite and honest about what was needed for my unit. UPDATE: I went with chaffee for a new unit. My key points from the whole process. Chris was great friendly and up front about what needed to be done. We asked for some quotes. Keith got back to me promptly gave me some options. I got some opinions from others had two other companies come out and got some more quotes.. Now chaffee wasn't the cheapest option. However I believe you get what you pay for. Secondly, I bounced the information given to me off the other companies and they all said the same thing. This helped because I didn't feel like I was lied to or that there was some additional costs I shouldn't have. I approved the quote and Keith had a team out here the next day. Austin and Ian, who came out to do the job, came on time and worked diligently. Friendly and courteous even wore boot covers when they had to enter my home. Purchasing a new unit is stressful and I truly appreciate the quick response and easy to work with crew that I received. Very happy with the new unit!

DO. NOT. USE. Chaffee!! If they mess up something while performing service they will act like it was not their fault and just charge the customer to have it fixed!! They came out to the house on a Friday to clean the blower wheel and condensing coils and I will add for free because previous techs had not been doing it correctly is what they said. Which really impressed me that they would do something like that. After the service was complete on Friday the blower turned on but shortly after the unit completely stopped working and thermostat was completely turned off with a blank screen. Upon further investigation they had not wired the transformer back up correctly and ended up ruining it. In the photos the red wire was not suppose to be connected to the other red wire. Once I called and went by the office to confront them about THEIR mistake!! Michael told me it WASN'T their fault and that parts just go bad and it would cost $230-330 dollars to fix. He claimed if they felt it was their mistake they would resolved the issue for free but even with photo evidence they were still denying THEIR mistake! I ended up buying a transformer for about $15 and wiring it up CORRECTLY and the unit turned right on. I would watch out for this company they will try to take advantage of you and be dishonest even if all the evidence points to them being in the wrong. Update: After the owner response they in fact could not confirm from the photos taken at the time of service because they sent me the photo from Friday which I attached that shows the transformer hanging with the red wires DISCONNECTED as they said. They also sent the one from Saturday to me and you can not see half of the wires on the picture that was taken Saturday morning by Jason. The photo with the red wires CONNECTED was taken after they had left and was not altered in anyway as they claimed. The wiring was NOT left as it originally was. They claim the transformer was not fully disassembled but that red wire doesn't just magically get connected. The issue I mentioned to them on Saturday was this issue of them not wiring the transformer correctly and connecting the two red wires. I never claimed to be having a different wiring issue. I have attached the photo from Saturday that according to them "Clearly shows the original wiring as we left it". You can notice in the Friday picture you can see 7 wire nuts and in the Saturday picture you can see 4 that does not clearly show the wiring. Chaffee response just continues to prove that Chaffee is DISHONEST and AFRAID to admit when they are WRONG!

I called Chaffee because I noticed when set to A/C my unit was blowing warm heat. When they came out, they kindly showed me the issues with my unit and talked me through options. Once I decided moving forward with a full unit replacement was the best path forward - Manager Keith was super helpful in getting us a unit that fit within our budget and needs. As far as installation - it was smooth, clean, and much appreciated.

Plumbing technician came to drain water heater. After draining it some, he said it was fine and had no calcium deposits at all. This is a result of our whole house water softener/filter system. Tech said we would not need the annual draining with this filtering system. Good news! AC techs were very professional and informative. Very pleased.

I had a power surge that led to an issue in my exterior unit and thermostat. Where many companies would have simply said my compressor needed replacement, Jason took the time to evaluate the entire system and found that a contact and pressure valve were only affected. This saved me thousands of dollars in lieu of a full exterior unit replacement. I couldn't recommend Jason enough. He was very kind, knowledgeable, professional, and transparent through the entire process.

Jeffery completed our complimentary plumbing inspection and was patient with answering any questions and concerns we had. He flushed our hot water heater and did a great job. Alvin performed our annual maintenance on HVAC unit and did a great job as well.
