BE VERY CAREFUl THEY WANT TO GET RICH IN HOURS Had a water leak by water heater. Used parts worth around $750, worked for about 3 hours (with travel time) Billed me $3200. When asked why this outrageous bill, they replied - we had to use this and this and this parts. This is the age of internet, You can get the retail price of the material used on the internet. Master Plumbers charges about 175 per hour journeyman around $125 in Amarillo area. 2 people = $300 per hour (approximate) They charged me about $850 per hour.

I have used this plumbing company for years. James and his employees have always been prompt, courteous, fair and professional. I do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In fact, I recently recommended them to my own granddaughter who needed a gas line replaced. McGuire did a first class job, doing even more than first agreed to, and for about half the cost that another company had quoted. Today they installed a new furnace and water heater for me and I am very pleased.

Been using these guys for 1-2 years and been charged a fair rate , but on there most recent job they charged me $225 a hour on a weekday morning. They told it me they charge by the job not the hour but on the invoice it says hourly rate, and there previous jobs were by the hour. All I know is we're not happy with the over charge rates which feels like they are pulling a fast one on us , and they lost our business going forward. I attempted to get this corrected but seems this is what they charge now and they never got back to me.

The gas company had told us we had a gas leak and to call a plumber. The plumber showed up and tested the line. He said we had a leak. YES I KNOW THAT but where. He said he didn't know. He told me he would have to replace all gas lines and break the floor. He said it would be about $3800. Ofcourse, I said no he doesn't know where the leak is. He charged me $80. It sounds like a scam to make $80 everytime for nothing.

First off to save any confusion H&M is now McGuire Plumbing. These guys are great. I have used these guys on a couple of occasions and they have been nothing less than awesome everytime. First time I called them out was just to snake a line in the laundry room. I have a very curious 4 year old. They did not mind at all at him standing and watching. They took the time to explain to him what they were doing and why they were doing and did not tired of his constant questions. The second time I called them out they came over the same day, firgured out the problem and started the job the next day. James gave me a quote and stuck to it, even though I asked them to do a few items outside of the quote. They had 5 guys at my house at one point to make sure that they got everything done in a timely manner. During the process you would never know that they were there (outside the use of the power tools), they were quick, efficient and curtious. I would recommend them to anyone.

H & M Plumbing fixed the problem I called in on. Very pleased with the service.

Instead of asking why someone isn't working. You should've been inspecting and giving a solution to fix a gas problem.
