We went with Tarrant Home Warranty when we first bought our home as they were recommended by our home inspector. They had to come out a couple times for various things and were great, but 5 or 6 months in we had a sewer backup in our sewer line that they had to come out and clear. After waiting several days for them to get a plumber out there, and then multiple trips because they didn’t have the right equipment for the job, they were never able to clear it and said we were on our own and had to fix it ourselves. I made one call to a plumbing company-BillyGo-and they came out the same day and cleared the sewer line on the first try. Tarrant did refund me the cost of the plumber, but didn’t refund the house call fee of $100 that they charge to come out even though the people they sent out didn’t do a thing. Wish I would have never purchased this home warranty. It was a waste of money, a headache to deal with, and I was better off just hiring contractors on my own to actually fix our problems. The people they send out to fix issues are cheap and not prepared so if you want the job done right, do your own research and find a good, local companies to treat you right.

I highly recommend this warranty company. Working particularly with Emily and Brady has made buying our first property very easy and stress free. I did not matter the time of day, one text to Emily and the problems were immediately attended to. Highly recommend this warranty company!

We purchased a home warranty from Tarrant at the recommendation of our realtor when we purchased our new home. On Christmas Eve we had a pipe burst. Assuming that they were closed for the holiday we shut off the water to our house and called first thing Monday morning. The call went to voicemail, so we left a message and called again later that afternoon, receiving the voicemail again. No one ever called back. Another plumber that we contacted to make a back up appointment for later in the week called Tuesday to say that they had an opening and could come to our house. Tarrant never responded, so we decided to take it because we didn’t want to wait all week without water, especially with children to care for. A third call to Tarrant let us know that they had been closed the previous week and that they had no record of our call. After a brief check they let us know that they just deleted our voicemail without ever responding. They denied our claim that would have otherwise been covered because we went ahead with the repair despite the fact that they did not return our calls and had no intention of addressing our claim until after three calls and a week delay. They justified their coverage refusal based on the fact that we did not call another number not listed on our agreement and explained the situation fell outside their definition of normal circumstances because they closed the office for a whole week, a fact that they failed to add to the message on their claims line.
