Total disaster with the plumber they sent out to repair what started simple ended up costing me well over $500.00. This plumber that continually bragged on himself for having 10 years experience ended up burning the floor behind my toilet with a large torch. He finished and never even mentioned the damage he caused. I complained to his boss who said "he didn't do a good job at all did he". The same guy came out the next day with a scrapper brush saying he'd fix it. He removed some of the burned area, or most of it, and said "oh now it looks a lot better". Sure it did, he scrapped through my flooring. When I complained he just stopped, with rude words, and said well I can't please you. When I complained again he called his boss and I was given $100 back. I know I can't come close to getting my flooring repaired for that, Speakers charged me $138 just to walk in my home. I know if this complaint is answered, it will be to say I was difficult to work with, and they will be right once I saw how things were going, and eventually was fed up with his little rude remarks he was saying to me and to my wife. So what did I do? Told him to leave and get off my property. For reference I think this guy's name was David. All I'll say is be careful and don't be fooled if he's assigned to your job if your looking for a fair deal, quick service, truly friendly conversation. Strictly how much can he get out of you. Never again will he step on my property! Gary Since you did rudely respond to my negative review, Mr. Owner who wasn't involved at all, but listening to the two were and treated me and my wife terribly should probably shut up. Good rates, are you serious? Did a good job, are you serious? Cussing? I don't remember that. Friends, if you consider this poorly managed company you might want to check out some other options out there that you will probably be happier dealing with.

Called yesterday, came out this morning and did a fantastic job, found issues and showed them to me before fixing. Randy and partner great communicator and when they left, you would not know they were here. Fair priced. Highly recommend Speake's Plumbing!

Called Speake's on Monday for a non emergency plumbing problem. I asked if they could come out Tuesday. Travis called Tuesday morning said they were on their way. Lucas and Jacob were very punctual and professional. Unclogged my drain at the tee and reworked the kitchen drain pipes. They were cordial and respectful and got the job done quickly! Best Plumbing service ever! Whole house was backed up, figured it was the main drain line that runs right by a big ol' Live Oak. We were scheduled for tomorrow, but the crew of Daniel & Warren freed up early and since we were stuck, they got to us today, same day as called in. They broke out their big machine and had to run line for about 40' or so to clear it out, with great success. Daniel also came in and de-calcified the master shower drain in nothing flat, it's been a pita for us for years. I highly recommend this company, and this team. Thanks Folks.

10/4/24: My ten year old water heater gave out and I called Speake's Plumbing and spoke with Travis. I explained what happened and he explained the costs to remove and replace the water heater. I was fortunate enough that Travis was able to arrange for a crew to come out within the hour. Thomas and Trevor were awesome. After a minor mishap, in which the City Of Garland had to come out (inside of an hour) and replace the main shut off valve, the water heater replacement went great. Although the water heater was located in the attic, Thomas and Trevor were very professional and friendly throughout the process. Thomas even installed a hot and cold water shut off to the water heater. I have recommended Speake's Plumbing to anyone needing quality plumbing work done, as they were recommended to me years ago. I am extremely satisfied with the work Thomas and Trevor did. They were timely, efficient, laid down floor covering. and most important of all, respectful. 12/20/19: I decided to upgrade my 25 year old toilet in the guest bathroom, and Rusty arranged an appointment within the week. He gave me a time frame of 8-10 am. The day prior I received a call to confirm the appointment, and on the scheduled date, Rusty called to advise that the plumber would arrive at 8 am. I went to purchase the toilet that morning, and met Daniel at home, who was very courteous and knowledgeable. He had to change the flange to the toilet due to age, then he upgraded the handle and water line. He was very thorough, explained what and why he was doing it, and did a great job of cleaning up after himself. This is my second great experience with Speake's, and I'm very grateful to my neighbor who referred me to them.

My home warranty company originally sent out an awful company to replace my hot water heater. Speake's was recommended to me by my mother-in-law who has used them for years and I am glad I listened. I paid out of my pocket 3 times what my warranty wanted to pay but it was worth every penny. Got the brand water heater I wanted and they got it from the warehouse in 1 day which shocked me since we have a less common style tank. Communication was great, always called me back promptly and kept me informed. Roy and Quincy came out to do the install and were awesome. Super friendly guys, honest and knowledgeable. I caught myself wanting to hang out in the garage talking to them and watching them do the work cause they were so good. Super clean install, made it look better than the original install by running the t&p line better than original. I had to leave before they finished but came home to hot water and my garage cleaner than when they started. I will always use Speake's for any future plumbing needs.

Great experience! From initial call to completion of work, everyone was professional and friendly. Upfront pricing and very reasonable, no trick fees. Lucas and Trevor are personable with good communications. Pet friendly as a Bonus!

I highly recommend this company. These guys showed up at 8:00am on Christmas Eve and replaced my broken water heater. They were professional and polite. It is rare to find a company with that level of customer service.
