[UPDATED AT THE END]... I called Abacus to get a quote and repair for a sprinkler backflow replacement (cracked pipe). I was able to schedule the same day - so all good there. Then... it went downhill. The estimate: $1,700. When I had a heart attack and asked for any military discount - they went down to $1,464. I've had the repair done before - at $500-$600. They left - and I called Pearland Plumbing Company. I had 2 options: $500 for them to get the part and replace it - or buy the part myself, and they would charge $250 to install it. I went to HD - paid $110 for the part. Total cost: $360. So - hard pass on Abacus for this job... [UPDATE]: So I got a response from the "owner" apologizing and asking me to call to discuss. I called the number the "owner" provided - it was their main number. After being placed on hold and transferred 3 times (19 minute call) - they had no clue what the issue was. I gave him the option of reading the Google review and then calling back to discuss. (Remember - I don't have any other issues - they asked me to call.) He told me that estimates are voluntary and if I'm not satisfied with the amount I can always call around to get other quotes that may be "within my wheel house". I told him I knew that - as I'm an adult - and learned that back in Junior High. I told him I didn't have any issues that I was only calling as they asked - maybe they would want to know they are 3X the amount of ALL other plumbers. I then told him I was changing the rating to 1 star - and good luck with his future. SMH.

Iβve used ABACUS twice now making subtract with three of their employees. They are have been super friendly, very patient answering all questions and explaining all aspects of the issues at hand. They are very knowledgeable and prompt when scheduling appointments. They communicate with you via text and email until the second they knock on your door. Prices are reasonable and they give you an estimate up front before any work is done. I really love and appreciate the no fee consult as well. Great company and I highly recommend.

When I tried to save money with a cheaper electric company the photos below is what I got stuck with! Electrician they sent out to give me an estimate on the scope of work needed to correct what damages were now on top of the original work I need done, the electrician they sent out to do the estimate was on time and he called when he arrived he was very knowledgeable professional courteous and respectful and gave me hope that I wouldn't have a trauma experience as I did with the previous electrician because their company is licensed answered and back by the better Business bureau ensuring that my satisfaction will be guaranteed I just wish I would have used their company first so I didn't end up having to redo it ! But the technician made me feel relaxed and confident that they will be able to get me back to having my house habitable without fire and safety hazards

Highly recommend! Dealing with electrical issues isn't for the weak π, you need a knowledgeable, caring professional and Cole was just that. My initial contact with Abacus went smoothly. I got a same day appointment and Cole arrived on time and explained my options in replacing my panel. The work was completed to my satisfaction. However, their was a problem with the Center Point power line that affected power to my home. Although Center Point promised to fix the issue it would take some time to do so. This problem caused Cole to be unable to label the panel. Cole was very sympathetic and offered to bring me a generator since we had no idea how long it would take them to fix the issue on their end. Finally I got power around 1 a.m. Cole and his assistant arrived as scheduled the next day to complete the project. I was very impressed with the level of customer service and empathy Cole and the assistant showed me. I will definitely use Abacus again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I want to commend Abacus Electrical, they sent Ken (Kenneth) tech to my home within 24 hrs. He was so very professional, thoroughly, carefully accessing electrical outlets that needed replacement. Many of them were badly burned out, THANK YOU!! 5β, Totally recommend,ππππππ

Definitely not happy. Walked into home depot and saw their advertisement. Decided to give them a call. Told them I had 2 units.. they said it would be a total of $29.99.. then when the technician arrived. He said it was $29.99 for each unit, not in total. Then I told him i had a leak in my second unit. Technician stated now itβs not a Tuneup but a diagnostic and it would be $99 for the unit that had a leak. I told him I know I have a leak. He said with the diagnostic test we would know. When he was done he charged me $129. But didnβt tell me where the leak was coming from. He was too busy trying to sale me a new AC unit and kept talking about how cheap my system was. Then gave me another quote to identify where the leak was coming from and then other things. The window they gave me for him to show up was 9-6. After waiting all day for him because he showed up at 5:30 of course. Stay away.

We totally liked and appreciated the service call today from Abacus Plumbing technician, Zackary Butler. He was knowledgeable, courteous, intelligent, honest, and likable. He communicated and explained many items and situations very well. We accepted his recommendations and were happy to pay for his services. He made us appreciate our V.I.P. Program Membership with Abacus and will definitely ask for him for future plumbing services.

Called Abacus to diagnose a light not turning on. The technician was on time, great communication and was able to figure out the issue quickly. He took time to make sure the wiring that was causing the issue was not only fixed but make sure the other connections were secure to prevent possible future problems. Super knowledgable and friendly. Would not hesitate to use Abacus again
