Fantastic service. Edwin was cordial, professional, and knowledgeable. Took the time needed to go above regular maintenance service. System was quite dirty. Tech took apart and put back together. Looked like a new system. I really felt like I got the moneys wort with the service that I was provided and am thankful for the long term savings of having system serviced today. Very pleased with the service that I received.

Joe is a great technician!! He quickly installed my faucets as well as inspected my water heater. With his advice, I decided to replace the water heater. Joe quickly got a new one and installed it same day. He was so nice and respectful of my property. Once done, we showed me what he did and answered all my questions. It’s refreshing to see such great customer service.

Alexander Martin from Len the Plumber was my technician. He was extremely polite, professional, and obviously quite knowledgeable. I explained my plumbing issue involving the shut-off valve to my toilet. He diagnosed and troubleshot quickly and made the repair by removing the old and installing the new valve. I am thoroughly satisfied with the work that Alexander performed and can see he has a bright future with the company. Thank you Len the Plumber for hiring well trained and qualified people like Alexander.

Len the plumber was easy to book online. The dispatcher called to ask if we were ready for our technician. I’ve never heard that before. Very nice. We were given a 3 hour time slot & he came at the beginning of that time slot. The work was done quickly & professionally. I highly recommend this company.

Every time we have used Len the Plumber they have always been on time and courteous. The problem lies in how expensive they are and not being able to provide sufficient reasoning when asked. Most recently, we were having new floors put in over our old ones. This required a pedestal sink in our half bath to be removed and then reinstalled. We schedule to have Len the Plumber come out the day before to remove the sink thinking this was easy enough and shouldn’t be too expensive. After taking a look, the plumber came back with his quote to remove and reinstall the sink. Almost $700 to remove and another $1100 to put back in 2 days later. Seemed a bit steep to me. When asked why and could he show me the scope of work, the response was the time it takes and there is some caulking…. Caulk? Well, the sink had to come out. The floors were going down the next morning. So, 30 minutes and $700 later the sink is out, but we decided not to schedule the install. A few days later, I went through Home Depot’s website to find a Pro near me that could put the sink back in. Almost immediately, 5 people reached out willing to put the sink back in for us. After communicating with them, we decided to go with a contractor we felt we could trust who installed the sink for $160 parts, labor, and, yes, even caulk included. Sink works great, at least as good as before, and everything is perfect. We have always thought Len the Plumber was a bit overpriced, but now we know for sure. Grateful that they can get someone in your home for a last minute emergency, but other than that, we will probably not be using them again. Lack of transparent pricing and seemingly taking advantage of our lack of knowledge and zip code leaves a bad taste in our mouth. Thanks for the promptness, but it’s not enough to keep us coming back.

My heat stopped last Friday and I made a call to this company. They stated a $49.00 service call, and then a diagnostic charge. The technician showed up and after a while determined it was an item called a Limit Switch, and he would have to come back with one the next week. First he said the job was $194 and if I could pay half that day, and I agreed. Then it changed to $110 for a diagnostic and the entire cost was $902.00 !!!!!!!! He said if you decide to go with the Limit Switch replacement just call, he would get one and come back next week. So I paid the $110 diagnostic that day, and got online to see what a Limit Switch cost. It was $27 plus shipping -- $49.81 total including over the weekend shipping. I bought it and got it Monday. It took me about 3 minutes to remove 2 screws and the old switch and put in the new one and connect the 2 wires, and I am no pro. I saved myself about $750. I really don't understand how they could go from $194 to $902 for a 3-minute job. I was willing to pay the $194 without knowing the cost of a Limit Switch, but once I heard this new $902 cost, I felt that I was being gouged, and I need to look into this. Glad I did. Picture of a $27 Limit Switch included in this review. Changing one is easier than changing a spark plug on a car. The owner was good enough to respond to this review of my experience, and states they price by job, not by the time. I am not able to respond to his reply directly, but I will reply here for the readers benefit. My question is then how do they justify charging $902 for a $27 switch replacement? Like I said, the "job" of changing this switch is easier than changing a spark plug on a car. Checking on how much most auto shops charge for changing plugs, they range from $5 to $25 each plug. You readers can do the math, but I would think fair in the case is $194 for the service call, diagnostic, and switch replacement. Not $902.

Alexander Martin has a great attitude and he is a pleasure to work with. He answered all my questions and he did a good job. I thought the price was higher than what I expected, but Alexander was doing it from the computer, so I assume it was determined by the company. Alexander also came with a colleague who was very helpful in completing the work properly. Alexander looks young and may learn more as he stays longer on the job. But he did a great job for the complex work that I had.

I ended up having to get my water heater replaced and set up a time slot with Len to get my issue looked at, and Mark ended up coming early and got straight to it. He broke down the potential causes and options, while offering tips for keeping my water heater running smoothly when describing the parts and locations of them. Another plumber from Len was thankfully able to drop off a new water heater while Mark got started on getting the old one out, and the guy had the new one installed in about 2 hours which was awesome. Mark ran down the dials, tanks, valves and areas to focus on keeping clean and testing in order to max the life of the water heater. He even wrote the dates and notes on when to replace, clean, test all those areas which was greatly appreciated. Mark was awesome, personable, knowledgeable, expert plumber who was willing to make sure I understood everything first before making a choice and understood the new tank. I will be using Len for other services, but will definitely be calling Mark for any plumbing issues I hope never arise.
