Review Summary

  • Recurring Pipe Burst: A customer experienced a pipe burst in the same spot twice, due to what they perceived as a lack of foresight in the initial repair. They were charged a high price for a quick fix and a suggested additional costly solution.
  • Employee Hour Issues: An employee is having trouble getting their journeyman hours logged and feels the company is uncooperative.
  • Positive Experience: A customer had a positive experience with technicians who replaced a water tank, toilet, and repaired a sink efficiently and at a reasonable cost.
  • Price Misleading: A customer was misled about the price of a toilet replacement, leading to a higher-than-expected bill.
  • Emergency Service: A business owner had a positive experience with responsive and reasonably priced emergency service.
  • Overcharging and Administrative Issues: A customer was overcharged on a previous job and the charge was not removed from a subsequent invoice. The plumber was pulled from the job mid-way through, causing delays and financial loss.
  • Overpriced Simple Job: A customer was charged over $400 for a simple job (removing a water filter and hot water dispenser) and the work area was left messy.
  • Incorrect Orders and Poor Customer Service: A customer received the wrong finish on ordered items twice and has not received a refund.
  • Poor Installation and Warranty Disputes: A water heater was installed incorrectly, making temperature controls inaccessible. The company initially denied warranty coverage for a simple fix and then reversed their decision.

2 years back during winter 22 when burst pipe happened due to freezing weather, entire garage port was opened and you guys fixed the broken pipe area. Given your expertise in this area and being in the industry for so many years ,I expected that you had easily realized that this can happen again as the way the pipe runs as is it comes down and goes up to outside wall. As the pipe comes up and down , water is going to stagnate again and will burst during freezing weather. Not sure the tenure of the technician and supervisor you sent was enough expert to easily figure out that. Due to this, the pipe bust happened again early this year at the same spot. This year I had to spend $500 to take out the new wooden planks installed last year and I have to spend another $400 to put them back. On top of it to fix the pipe, the job you have done above was a 15 mins job where you charged me $600. To fix the root cause you suggested adding another value in the garage to drain this water which will cost $700 extra. I expect that you think long term from a custom point of view and provide the best service but both times it feel like you just wanted to do a patch job. I am really not happy with the service and hopeful that it does not happen to other customers.

I really liked working with Tom and Aaron, that’s why I’m giving them 2 stars but they have been nothing but trouble when I’m simply trying to get my journeyman hours logged into L&I. As an employee it’s a great place to learn if you work well but make sure you are on top of your own hours because they will send you in circles like it’s so hard to simply give you what you earn. Update: apparently someone wants to respond to my review rather than simply getting me my hours. All I’m asking for is what I deserve but to try to do damage control you just make this long drawn out message about me moving to Washington and all the places I’ve worked when I only worked at one other location. I’ve been to L&I and they said I will have to send you certified mail, if I go this route you will end up being audited. And it’s about 250 hours not 150. Do you want to just get me a signed and notarized copy of my hours or no? I will be happy to delete this if you just give me my hours before it expires in a month. What type of game are you guys playing? You probably do business like this too.

The technicians from this location were courteous, prompt, and made sure that their work was exceptionally well done. My main technician was Ian and his apprentice and they were able to replace my water tank, toilet, and repair my bathroom sink in under 3 hours and under $5,000. I've had good experiences with Beacon Plumbing in the past and this call helped to reinforce my expectations.

Awesome service! Ryan was wonderful, explaining what was going on and what our options were. However, Stan in the office misled me on the price of the replacement toilet. We are selling the house so I asked if it would be cheaper for us to pick up a toilet ourselves. He said no, the toilets they provide are typically cheaper. When Ryan came back with the new toilet, it was over $800!! Unfortunately, due to the timing of the sale prep, we were forced to use it. I was expecting something inexpensive like what you would get at Home Depot (less than $250), and we were hit with something over three times that cost. I had been provided a verbal bid of about $700+ for the entire job. I had never been given an update before Ryan showed up at our house. Poor Ryan was the brunt of my disappointment, though he was still great and as helpful as he was the first visit. I will still use Bellevue Plumbing in the future, but will make sure that I get things in writing and not just trust what I am told by someone in sales.

I had a plumbing emergency at my business and I called around and found that Bellevue Plumbing was the most responsive. The fixed my emergency within the hour and didn’t charge an exorbitant amount in my hour of need. I also had them work on a small job on my house and it was done so neatly and with care. My neighbors have used them and I always hear from them how great they treat their customers.

I was over charged on an invoice from a previous job. So I was told by two of them over the phone that they would take it off my next invoice, I said o.k fine. Sure enough, when I get the invoice, that charge was not removed. When I called to ask why, I was told they would not take the over charge off my invoice because when I was over charged they were in the process of changing ownership, so it was not their responsibility. My thought was, it's not my responsibility either, if you change ownership in a company, you take responsibility for whatever they leave behind. Granted the over charge was only about $50.00, I don't see why I had to pay that money for nothing because of their negligence. As far as the work goes, the plumber himself was fine, he was knowledgeable and did good work. However, the administrative staff at Bellevue Plumbing is horrible. They pulled the plumber off my job about half way through to work on another job. No warning, no notice that he was not even there. So I show up on my job wondering why it's taken four days to screw a fiberglass shower to a wall, and is still not done. My employee informed me the plumber hadn't been there for days. As a result, a lot of money was lost because of the delay. I wasn't going to write this bad review if they had taken that over charge off my invoice. But since they purposely lie to me over the phone for their own financial gain and my financial loss, I felt I should warn other contractors or home owners who are thinking of using their services.

I hired them to remove an old water filter. Two people came when I was expecting only one - just a friend with the plumber I think. He removed the filter which was a pretty simple job and took out a hot water dispenser. Left a mess under the sink and then charged me over $400. for this. I ordered a brushed ss soap dispenser and air gap cover and twice it came in the wrong finish. I asked for my money back and as of today I have not received it. Called several times and each time they stall me - I have just placed it in dispute with my bank. I would never do business with this company and the companies they represent should think twice - terrible service.

Dealing with Bellevue Plumbing has been a nightmare. A new water heater was installed incorrectly in my 72-old mother’s home, in the sense that the temperature controls were not accessible (a door from the closet where the water heater was installed has to be removed to set the temperature). A simple rotation of the heater would fix this. A plumber came to inspect, but said the rotation was not under warranty; he removed the closet door reset the temperature to what he thought was good, and then told my mom to not change the temperature again. This is ridiculous and unprofessional – my entire life we’ve regularly raised the water temperature in winter, and lowered it in summer to save costs. I disputed the no warranty coverage since Bellevue Plumbing installed the water heater – it’s not our fault that they installed it incorrectly. After calling the office, explaining the situation, I was told that the rotation would indeed be covered under warranty. A couple days later the same plumber calls and says it’s no longer under warranty, and that the person I talked to in the office was wrong. I’m not sure if it’s plumber laziness, poor communication in their office, a dysfunctional business, or just plain greed, but I think it’s criminal that they won’t reorient their poor installation so that my senior mother can regulate her water’s temperature. Avoid this company at all costs.
