Review Summary

Cliff Bergin & Associates has mixed reviews. Positive feedback highlights professional, quick, and fair service, specifically praising Randy for plumbing work and Paul, Jim, and Max for furnace repair. Negative reviews cite issues with billing discrepancies (overcharging for a heat exchanger repair covered by warranty), lack of responsiveness from the owner, and instances of poor workmanship leading to damage and refusal to take responsibility for errors.

Iโ€™ve used Cliff Bergen 2x in the past 9 months (once for an ac replacement and once for a plumbing issue). Both times the teams have been so professional, so quick and have quoted me fairly. Most recently, Randy came out to help with a plumbing issue. He was so kind and efficient, and made sure to walk me through the costs and options before starting anything. He was in and out in an hour and a half, having fixed the problem! 10/10 would recommend Randy.

Update as of February 16th I have not received a reply as to why I was charged for a recall on a defective heat exchanger when Carrier said it was "no charge" to the consumer and also covers 4 hours of labor. The $663.59 charge doesnโ€™t add up. I understood the $65 service charge, but the rest seems like they are getting paid double, I may have Contact 6 look at this. They also charged to scrap the old heat exchanger which you can take to a scrap yard and get paid for the metal. I have not received a response from them either. Our heat exchanger was defective and Carrier said the heat exchanger, related parts and up to 4 hours of labor should be no cost to the consumer, but Cliff Bergin wants to charge me $663.59 - and they got all the parts for free plus reimbursement for labor! I emailed them all this info and still have not received a response.

A few years ago, an employee of this company accidentally broke a pipe while fixing the A/C unit in our attic. As you can see in our photos, this caused a major leak which damaged the drywall in the ceiling below. The employee returned and admitted that he caused the issue. He ultimately fixed the pipe, but we were charged for both visits. This winter, we were finally ready to fix the drywall and the lowest estimate was $785. I called the owner of Cliff Bergin & Associates, Bob, explained everything to him and asked him to review the paperwork. I asked him to cover the repair cost or at least pay half. He told me he did not doubt what happened and would look into it and call me back, but he never did. I have called him a second time and left a voicemail, but have heard nothing. We do not appreciate his lack of response and we want others to learn about our experience with Bob the owner.

Had a leaking shower. Called Bergin and the sent Randy out right away to fix. He showed me what the issue was and what he was doing to fix it. Randy was professional, helpful and just a really nice guy - would recommend!

Randy is awesome! I will ask for him whenever I have plumbing issues in the future....professional, friendly and honest. Thank you for fixing my kitchen faucet, Randy!

We had a local contractor install our furnace and the fan unfortunately quit during a super hot streak of weather, leaving us without a way to get our air conditioning through our home. To our shock and surprise he actually refused to fix it as he no longer worked with that brand. While searching the manufacturers site I found Cliff Bergin & Associates. I called to see if they would work on our furnace, still under warranty, and they absolutely said they could. Every person I chatted with on the phone was beyond helpful and supportive. They were patient and kind, as it had become a rather stressful event. We had to wait for the part to arrive but as soon as it did they were able to get someone to quickly fix our furnace and get us back to functioning. Paul and Jim were absolutely stellar and I so appreciate their care, understanding & kindness. Max did an efficient install and answered any questions I had. We one million percent would recommend Cliff Bergin & Associates. Thank you so much for helping us with a stressful situation for our family!

Called at 7 AM as one of our furnaces wasnโ€™t working during a super cold stretch (guessing they were very busy) and they were over by 8 and out by 8:30! Good prices and super friendly!!!

errors with installation led to water leaking into ceiling, mold and huge drywall repair costs. refused to take accountability and even tried to charge us to fix it! other plumbers confirmed it was their error.
